As many fun memories i have in the real 2007-2008 version of RuneScape, i just find it rather tedious to play 07scape. considering I know how the game was in 2008, and forward. Pretty much exactly how I feel too! I have been barely on OSRS without a GE, just got tiring without one and I feel this update was looongggg overdue. I've really wanted it for a long time. I am now back on OSRS for good after a good run on doing Hardcore Ironman mode for RS3. Idk what got into me to do that, and I still don't.
I have screenshots of the single-pillared GE that I had took when I still had just my untrimmed cooking cape on. A lot has happened with this account since, and I really missed that time and just being a noob again.
I have seriously broke down and cried at some of the old screenshots thinking "this is gone, it's gone for good" almost like if I had someone I was close to irl that passed away and all I had left was the memories...now Jagex is bringing it all back to life for me and am so happy!
The reason Jagex made the GE into the four corners was because of the spammers and bots couldn't just stand in one spot and spam all day. I think that was a good idea on their part to do that, so the spammer would have to run to each corner of the GE to get their message across. Look for the most recent Q&A video on Youtube, it's all about GE discussion and their plans!
Forgot to mention this isn't the only and final poll for GE, we have tweak polls coming, where and how to put in the GE, etc. Personally I still want it back as a single pillar and GE access in all banks to keep cities alive.
