I hate to break it to you but why do you think the osrs team goes off our vote and feedback? It's not 2007 any more and most people have already seen what could have been better back then. That is the whole point of their updates. It is a way forward for people who want to buy items and sell them so they can get on with playing the game. Its beneficial and was implemented in November 2007 so I don't understand why it gets a freak out reaction with turning into rs3. Yes rs3 has GE and oldschool doesn't have that sort of trading system. But GE was apart of Rs2 the moment it was implemented in 2007. Clan Defy -

I like the current trading post, but making some few adjustments would be good. I think being able to trade with people anywhere would be a good idea for GE/Trading post.

The GE will only make the game economy worse. Look at Rs3, the economy is in the trash right now. I remember when stuff like godswords and spirit shields were a lot of GP, but now they are below 30m!?
I am just saying the GE will make 20%+ of the economy players quit. And it will ruin the game.
Sorry if I am being rude, but I have played this game for a long time and love it.

Do people who keep saying it was from 2007 not remember it was designed explicitly for the trade limit which came right after?

They bring up irrelevant points only when it's convenient. December 10, 2007 is in 2007. Let's "update" the wilderness too.

I do not want GE. I won't cry if it passes but I won't vote for it.

A GE would make life easier for a casual player like myself but would make things way too easy for bots and gold farmers. The GE seems to give them too much influence. A GE is also too anonymous. If one is to remain against the gold farmers, how can one use the GE and know whether or not they are buying or supplying one of them?

At least the trading post is far less anonymous than a GE. One can see who they are dealing with. Knowing who you are dealing with will not ensure fair trade goods but at least you can ask. One may get lied to but one can at least state their preference. A GE won't let you do that. The current system does. So tweak it. Don't replace it.

I know that avoiding bot/farmer generated gold/items is a pipe dream. (unless one wants to go Ironman - I do not) I just don't want to be too hypocritical since I complained about them so much in the past. The point of the journey is not to arrive.

The osrs team said that no trade limit would come in. Does that mean it won't make trading via person that bad? I mean in terms of flipping an item or something for those who prefer the interaction over a sort of built in wallstreet for players. Clan Defy -

74%-26% i think more people will quit if GE isnt released tbh. The only people who dont want GE are people who still want nostalgia but that doesnt last GE wll ensure the game continues in the right direction and doesnt die.

Godswords and spirit shields are low in RS3 because they have literally no use, they are low tier & newer bosses made gwd/corp irrelevant to most players... not because of the GE lmao.

They were still priced exceptionally high until the mention of EOC so blaming the GE is quite preposterous.

The GE won't ruin the game at all.

All the arguments against the GE make literally no sense and there hasn't been a reasonable reason as to why it would be bad. Even the changes they plan to make to trading posts if GE doesn't pass is literally just another version of a GE lmao.

Interacting is already at a minimum, saying ty isn't interaction & neither is trading a merc* bot. Only interaction I see the GE stopping is the bank conversations but they will move to the GE as they did before. People won't stop talking just because of a GE.

It makes everything more reasonable from selling skilling supplies, buying supplies to buying that one random item you need but nobody sells.

Manipulating happens with a certain site & the trading post. The GE won't stop that but it won't be the cause of it either as it's been around since the start.

Least the GE will cut down time & prevent people from getting scammed. Only positives really come out of the GE.

People need to get out the "but omg this is osrs" because most of us want the old combat more not an outdated game.

I like the feeling of being able to talk to the people I am making trades with. I'm a merchant, sometimes I like to barter with people if they think my prices are outrageous. I can't believe the grand exchange is even being considered for an update as the game has been running perfectly fine and I like the way I can just casually browse through bank sales in the merchant world to search for deals. Please don't add the grand exchange. :/
