If its 74-26% will jagex really not release GE they would rather 74% quit than 26% if GE isnt release i cancel membership. No point playing a game that isnt going forward.

Because they will quit. They played thus far and will quit without it. Ok.

I think the ge is the right way for the game. like i dont do quests on old school right now because i spend half my day buying all the things i need for them. yes it is nice to talk to players but how is GE stopping that? like it just makes life a little more easy. i know there is going to be people who try to scam it but you just cant fall into it! thats what i have to say :p

We all know there are clear advantages and disadvantages to having a G.E., but the question is can we have the advantages without the disadvantages? That is improving the trading post and a few other core elements of the game.
The advantages of course come in convenience. If general stores and shops throughout the game offered a wider variety of products, and greater stock in say low level secondary ingredients or simply those quest items that can be bought in stock quite instead of having to gather them.

Disadvantages that the G.E. is price control by a few individuals and of course the reduced player interaction. The trading post can take care of these by improving on the trading interface, creation of auctions would be interesting and more slots to keep a wide variety of items on offer.

Who says we cant have the best of both worlds?

I agree with your statement and its simplicity is what makes it beneficial to everyone in this thread. Its a way to move forward. Its a big change but a good one. Besides people complaining about wanting interaction or not, its selfish. Some might be over having to be at beckon call to the demands of the seller ripping them off or wasting their time. The thing is that we have to be open about updates that help players and don't restrict them from the basics**** wasn't implemented to help merc* clans or bots. It was there for players who deserved there chance to sell there hard earned stuff for a valuable price where it bring them in the gold for there hard earned cash. Usually with game updates its the players that are just as much at fault as the developers. Most of us play the game and then some use it and abuse it.

On the whole GE won't wreck the game. You can still interact and trade if that's your thing. If its not other players thing well that's their choice and the selfishness in you will dissipate and you may quit or stay and come to either like or hate it. But if I remember correctly people were more up in arms about the addition of moving from wildy ditch to bounter crater and also the addition of summoning in 2008. More so than the GE. It didn't stop people trading for some time until they actually realised and caught on that GE doesn't impact on wasting time, it actually helps it. It doesn't rush it either. You can just browse for hours if you want.

The moment you get personal with the update is the moment you lose touch.

Oh c'mon! Bots are spam posting pro-GE statements all over the forums and the banks in-game. Big surprise they want automated trading. When we first voted for OSRS, we were told it was to be RS in its heyday, before the GE and EoC updates, and that it was not meant to include the GE. Is interacting with players to trade that terrible?

Also, "the way forward?" If you played "old school" looking for the way forward, you don't deserve to demand the game change for you. The way forward is called RS3 and is the one in HTML5 with the hotkeys. Have fun. It's right there: a click away. No need to play something called "old school" while actually requesting an RS3 rollback on one or two updates.

You guys want new graphics and GE updates and threaten to quit if you don't get it? Why? To move on to RSC to add the GE to it? Maybe Old School RS wasn't as good of an an idea as it seemed if the end result is the same... Why have two copies of the very same game?

The problem with GE is that it makes it too easy to find the obscure items you need for quests, ruining part of the experience of finding them yourself. You should have to find these items yourself.

So here's what I think: GE is fine if it's limited to commonly traded items such as armor, potions, ammo, food, and so on. Not stuff like crafting moulds, light sources, buckets, dyes, garlic, and other uncommon items that are needed for quests.

I really hope this is considered if GE is implemented.

"
Should we append the names of the Recipe for Disaster gloves to include the level they represent? For example, rune gloves.
"

Will the renaming of the gloves have any other effects, such as the level required to wear the gloves? For example, rune gloves need 40 defense to wear.

can anyone help me with this question?
