Ya but 75% is too much a threshold, especially since this is a big update. For the other minor updates, 75% was not as big a deal

If anything 75% is too low. For something as radical as this, i would want somewhere around 85-90% support. All the minor updates are like whatever, it doesnt affect me in any way. But something as extreme as overhauling the entire way the economy is run and trading is done, i would want a alot of support before going through with it.

Not even 85-90% support. If you ask me, scrap the whole polling completely for all big and controversial updates. Listen more to feedback instead, these forums are here for a reason, and don't just count the number of 'yeses' and 'no's'.
Feel free to take a look at my suggestions: 200m xp prestige

The first day of Old School Runescape was a day I will never forget.

One of the best aspects of early Old School was the lack of G.E.
Forcing players to interact more.

As the game developed, so did methods for trading. Zybez lead to trade post which I think most would agree, can be improved.

G.E. eliminates the player interaction for trading and takes one step closer to becoming a game we all left in the first place.

NO GENERAL EXCHANGE PLEASE

I agree entirely, I think this will eventually kill this game alltogether.
Jagex has no long-term vision with OSRS, they just add things that are requested, poll them, and do whatever way the wind blows.
They should make a business plan for this year, and add some things simply because they think its good for the overall quality of the game, not poll every small detail

For those saying that Oldschool trading makes social interaction, I think it is worth it to improve trading by making it more convienant and less time consuming, rather than standing for an hour to sell a few things for the kick out of the 'interaction' when someone says "ty" and then leaves.

I swear to god, if the G/e is implemented im quitting. change the name to 2010scape while your at it... smfh...

Don't let the door hit you on your way out. Oh, by the way, can I have your bank?

Pretty sure most of us who voted for OSRS to begin with did so for the old style of combat, not necessarily a super outdated version of the game. Any version of the game that didn't have the EoC would have passed.

Similar to the previous dev blog.

I don't want the grand exchange to come into the game, it stops players thinking about all the possibilities of getting items into "just get it on the GE".

The trading post could do with features like hiding players who have friends set to off or friends (although showing their friends if they have friends set to friends would be good)
Sending trade requests through the post if you're in the same bank and on the same world, which isn't what you're polling so i'd vote no, I dont want people to be able to trade from 1 side of the world to another.

The dragon defender and warrior guild,. I like the idea to expand the guild, it's slightly better than how rs3 has it, but you've missed a huge potential for a fun minigame or boss.
Personally the dragon defender is something I don't have any issues with except for the fact it devalues the dfs.
So I'm still unsure about this.

Quality of life updates:
Most of these look great, a few i'm unsure of or feel are unnecessary.
I'm surprised that filtering public chat over players heads is failing, and failing by a large about. I'm guessing people are miss understanding what it means.
RIP Forums :(
Finally we have signatures in the surprise forum update. I'm Lewis, I play Old School & I've been playing since 2005.

The Trading Post in its current form is basically a bulletin board. You put up your item that is for sale and pick a price. Someone searching for a Rune Scimitar sees the offers of everyone selling Rune Scimitars on the Post, who is selling it, the price, the world they are in, and how long the offer has been up. To purchase one of these offers, you add the person to your friends list and ask about the sale.

The problems with the Trading Post? You have to arrange a face-to-face meetup to make the trade, but it doesn't tell you whether or not the person who made the offer is online or if they have their private chat turned on.

Proposed improvements to the Trading Post as an alternative to the GE? Add the ability to hide offers from players who are offline and/or have their private chat set to friends only. On top of that, add the ability to open the trade screen with the buyer/seller from the Trading Post, as long as you're on the same world.

I personally find this to be a gargantuan improvement to how trading with the GE works in RS3. Is it slightly less convenient and slightly more time consuming? Yes, but as it stands, the improved trading post will have a smaller negative impact on the economy and profitability of skilling than adding the GE would.
