Do not take it so seriously. Yes people do not think about outcome, so we should explain them our opinion, rather than just rage on forums, but I see your point and you are right
repoll is good imo, because as time goes people change their minds, their characters are getting better so they have different needs (more high lvls now so they do more pvm = want ls+cs etc) and maybe they see that they had polled wrong.
edid: forgot to quote previous post, mb

It seems like automatic trading is the best idea at this point, many people have been vocal about desiring a full GE, or automatic trading. I think automatic trading would be ideal since it wouldn't let players merc* items overnight and crash the markets into oblivion. The Grand Exchange was a phenomenal update at the time that was enjoyed by most everyone with some complaints, and without a poll, but those people eventually moved on and adapted to those conditions. Interesting how that works.

Automatic trading or GE please! Let's get an official poll going, I can't take the anticipation, pretty sure whatever people would vote for at this time would be a solid go-to, since at this moment, Trading Post is inferior to Zybz seeing as you cannot post buy offers. Not to mention the conflicting price settings players have set.

I don't feel like price manipulation with the implementation of a GE or automatic trades would be a problem any more than it is at this time, since players or groups of players can already control markets to some degree.

Cheers everyone!

i like the idea of having to search areas for the items you need to buy, and having to type the same thing over and over to try to sell, but i hate doing it two minutes in. i wouldnt mind the grand exchange. it would be the best option. if you're going to add automatic trading or sending trade offers through the post, we might as well just have the ge.

Info tracking

If players support the idea of expanding the Trading Post into a Grand Exchange, it will be able to track the prices of the items people sell through it. All GE transactions are items-for-cash, so it's straightforward for the system to see the price of the items.

However, at the moment, the Trading Post allows you to trade for items other than cash, or to bundle multiple types of item into a trade. That means the game can't work out the price of the items in any reliable way. It certainly can't base the info on the offers people post; it won't be able to track whether the seller got the desired price if they sold the item.

If the Trading Post is ever expanded into something that can track prices, with reasonable protection against price manipulation, we will offer to add a price guide at that time. However, this depends on what sort of expansions people support*

guys there has been a site that has kept track of the prices now for quite a while and has been just about the only thing keeping this game going, im sure if they can keep track of it, it should be to hard for you to make a program that keeps track of AVRAGE sell prices and if people want to abuse that make it so you can only re-post certin offers so many times and make it so if there price is to far away from the range of other prices it doesnt count. PLEASEEEEE no full ge pleaseeeeee it will ruin the ECONOMY trading post is good plz just revamp it

I don't want to play Lazyscape, I want to play Old School Runescape. The more you have to work for something, the more you appreciate it. Turn the trading post into a carbon-copy of Zy83z. By that I mean have buy/sell offers, buy/sell price graph, meet up in person, and it works even if you log out.

A GE would completely kill the atmosphere of the game. Nobody would be chatting it up in banks anymore. You can't find incredible deals (or gauge other players) because everything is so readily available. Massive inflation will follow the GE's implementation. The price gap between materials and products will significantly widen, to the point that only the extremely rich can afford to level anything.
I like the volatile pricing, the

in crowded areas, the meeting up with a total stranger, the "accepted trade." Even if you get trolled, or shorted, or whatever, it comes with the package; you're taking a risk, and so is the person you're meeting up with. It gives an extra element of uncertainty and makes the game that much more fun.

Remember, Runescape is an adventure, not an automated, regulated, predictable-to-the-point-of-being-linear time sink.

idea - both sides - Yes/no to ge should have someone (might be jmods) to fully explain the outcome of the vote both in benefit and economic way. Why? Because many players are in early teenage years without economy knowledge and cant fully understd the outcome (not hate here please, saying it in all respect), but they should, and the have, the right to vote, so there is a big chance they will do wrong decisions and might regret their vote, if we like it or not, runescape has strong economy and only small amount of the players, compared to the rest of the players, play on ironman (no-trading) mode.
I belive I made right decision and will vote for yes to ge/automatic! Did you?

I'll be voting NO. If that means making a couple of accounts to support the anti-GE efforts then so be it.

don't you need like 500-1k total to vote???
