I suspect that if you release the GE as it was in rs3, or anything similar, you will once again lose a mass amount of veterans who came to OSRS to get away from the EasyScape called RS3.

We DO NOT want OSRS turning into EasyScape. Part of the charm of OSRS is the fact you can't just go buy a mass amount of stuff.

I was against the trading post because of the implications it will have on simple tasks such as having to find sellers for large quantities of things like pure ess or various fruit for crop payments or herblore seconds.

Now, it is a simplified matter of waiting for sales to show up. That, to me, is pretty sad because you no longer face a challenge (which is what OSRS is about) when looking to buy your way to success. Furthermore, if you release any form of automated trading, similar to the GE, the above problem will be increased exponentially.

Years ago, when you released the GE, it had major impacts on the economy and produced severe consequences on the game in that people no longer had to actually try hard to level up. Instead, they stood at the GE waiting for things to buy instead of actually playing the game and getting their own things. This trading post, I fear, will not be much different, especially if you push automated trading into the game.

Part of the reason things tend to cost more on OSRS is because it is harder to find sellers and buyers of things on OSRS. With this new trading post, prices will start their downward spiral just like they did in RS3 because of how easy it was to obtain anything in the game without having to actually go and get them, or find a seller who has them.

Yes, I understand it will make it less time-consuming to buy/sell, however, this comes at the cost of challenge. OSRS was about restoring the challenge to Runescape, and this update, as well as the projected possibility of automated trading, cuts that challenge in half or more. It is harmful because of the damage it causes to the challenge of OSRS.

Please reconsider even thinking about offering automated trading before it's too late and people start quitting due to the return of EasyScape.

You're 11 combat lol

This is my forums acc... Thanks for judging.

I have a main with 1822 total lvl, and an Ironman with 1087 total lvl.

You might want to think before you post.

Oh good you have an Ironman account the challenge can continue for you and the rest of us can have the convenience of the automatic trade system. Problem solved.

No, that does not solve the problem.

Ironman was a great update, and I love it, but...
That doesn't take away my reasoning posted above.

Automated trading is bad for the game, and anyone with any amount of IQ above 10 can see that, based on what happened in RS3.

OSRS is better than RS3 could ever dream of being, but adding automated trading will severely damage the game and bring OSRS one step closer to that abomination called RS3.

If you want automated trading, go play RS3.

Agreed, OSRS is much better than RS3. However, I do not believe the Grand Exchange ruined RS2. In fact G.E. was probably my second favorite if not favorite update to Runescape of all time. It will have an impact on the Economy but so will the new continent with additional armor sets that come with that expansion. It is a risk that I personally am willing to take, we will see if the community feels the same when it is repolled next year.

Also I have never played RS3 more than a day and have no plans to. I stopped playing Runescape in 2008-2009 due to irreconcilable differences. I got my college degree in the divorce.

First of, how havent actualy given a reason why it would damage the game other than sprouting nonesense like itl make it eassy. p.s if i wanted to go buy alot of stuff id just go buy from merc* bots or other people. problem is people dont want to spend 20 days buying some monkfish. fyi prevents trade scamming/merc*bots and actualy would increase game in game play time. like i want to actualy be able to make cash by selling random junk like the good old days. not having 20m in junk items that are un-sellable. I just dont get the stupidity of the remaining player base. I thought only 'veterans' either way more people quitting. less updates = more boring. and please why the heck would it destroy the economy? in theory it makes no change your just basicaly organising the trade and either way dont expect it to be like old 07 where we had 40k+ active players we have like 25k max on a day so please dont expect for ags to be 25m again. p.s items drop in value because of the demand and supply. therefore more people killing gwd the eventual price reduction will make it around 24m like the old days. but seing as our pouplation is lower it should stay high. all ik is. just seems like a waste of time '6 weeks is still 6 weeks. and zybes does all of that other than it being ingame but... the orion client has that feature to look up prices and sellers from the zybes site meaning its actualy usless, faster to type 'bandos godsword' find a seller and hop instead of going to a bank finding some sellers realising they asking for 23m more.

either way. grand exchange was the **** back in the day more player interaction less scamming. i actualy spent more time in the grand exchange procrastinating than anywhere else in runescape.
