One question I have not seen asked. Is this content a done deal or is there more polling to do?

If they are doing another poll, will the question be "do we add all these diaries as described", or will each diary get it's own poll question? Will each diary reward be polled separately?

There's still a lot of questions I have about specifics after reading this blog, mainly what will the skill requirement be for each diary, and is the reward OP for the requirement. Also, we need more detail about how some of the rewards will work. Hope they will provide more detail before this goes live.

I'd like to see them add each diary one at a time and have a poll for each before it goes in.

I think people are forgetting that Elite diaries will actually have elite requirements. As Mod Ronan said on page 3 of this thread,

"To get elite rewards you need to truly be an accomplished player. 90+ stat requirements all over the place, one of the diaries even requires a 99."

I really, really wish they'd release more of the skill requirements for the 'OMG OP' rewards. But with things like noted Dragon bones for example, most people with that ability will likely have zero interest in killing Dragons in the Wilderness, simply because they have better options available. If you can make 1M GP/Hour RCing Nats, with the RC experience itself on top of that, why would you break off to do a method that is say, 800K an hour, with no XP? They can offer money making methods that seem OP to most players, to players that have better options available without it being an issue, because they won't be abused. They're just benefits .

I do agree with what Finbarr said though, that noted Dagannoth Bones should be an elite reward, not a hard reward . (Assuming the Hard diary doesn't have the crazy skill requirements for this area.)

Anyways, the concerns over Cannonballs -

Current steel bar price: 625-650
Current cannonball price: ~250
Profit per ball: ~87.5-93.75 (90.625)

Balls can be expected to drop around 45GP at most, down to about 200GP. At that point they'd be the same GP/hour as they currently are, with double XP/hour. Chances are they wouldn't drop that far, the profit should go up a little bit at least. They dropped down to what, 180? When Corp came out.. Relax.


Also as I've said before about MLM rates - 20% increased XP from paydirt is not a 20% overall XP increase, as XP is also gained from cleaning the ores. At 99, MLM will go from ~43 -> ~48K XP/hour.

• Tan-leather spell - Tanning dhide is already one of the best and easiest ways of making money, lets not make it easier

* Recharge dragonstone jewellery spell - Dont make fountain of rune and glory chargers completely irrelevent..

• Double tokkul from the fight cave - Not sure how many hours it would take to get fury using this method, so I cant say for sure

• Noted red dragonhide from Brimhaven dungeon - So someone can camp there 24/7 and make mils per hour, no pls

* One fight cave resurrection per day - Lets not make fight caves easier

• 5th slot to block Slayer tasks with - Make it quest cape req instead

• Double runes from the Barrows chest - This would either become too fast of a way to make money or crash the price of runes.

* 10% more slayer experience in Slayer Tower when on a task - I dont want bonus xp, its convenient enough that all the monsters are stuffed into a single building

• All dragon bone drops in the wilderness are noted - Only if you keep people from imp boxing them -.-

No to western provinces diary & the rewards entirely

I'd rather just have the first diaries that came out like.. varrock/ardougne/seers/falador.. and not the morytania etc that came along later when the game was being filled with bonus xp and faster money making

Instead of giving the motherlode mine better rewards (as it already has really good ones), increase the mining speed in the mining guild (coal + mithril rocks) by 10 and 20%, or a rate that will make it worth mining there instead of motherlode mine.

Is the 10% increased chance of pickpocketing only if you have the cape on?

Coal trucks - Increased mining speed of coal rocks ???

Barrows = 1/5 chance of double runes?

Red Dragons = I like that idea of noting the hides

Double mort fungi should be elite and 50% increase firemaking xp should be hard

Prospector top & varrock top == make it prospector top acts as varrock top if you show it to prospector pete so outfit matches

"All dragon bone drops in wild are noted" - allow us to toggle this off also

I say no to:

-- Money making methods are pretty simple to understand. Tanning leathers is a decent one, because of the amount of money that you have to have to begin doing it. If tanning hides becomes 10M profit/hour with the spell, everyone will do it, and continue to do it, until it is probably just a couple hundred thousand per hour. Money making methods always balance out over time.

* Recharge dragonstone jewellery spell - Dont make fountain of rune and glory chargers completely irrelevent..

-- It takes under 30 seconds to run to the fountain of Heroes, with a taverly tab. Please.. (Assuming the spell charges to (4) not (6))

• Double tokkul from the fight cave - Not sure how many hours it would take to get fury using this method, so I cant say for sure

-- 16,064 TokKul per fire cape earned. 16 fire capes (~90 minutes each = 24 hours for 3.1M = 130K/hour ( A whopping 65K/hour increase!
) minus supplies .

* Noted red dragonhide from Brimhaven dungeon - So someone can camp there 24/7 and make mils per hour, no pls

-- Fun experiment - go kill red dragons for an hour straight, and tell me how many you killed. (Take one hide per inventory, then bank the rest of the bones.)

-- If you have 91 RC, you shouldn't be dying in the fight caves. Also, how much 'easier' does it really make the fight caves? You get one free prayer recharge? If you can't kill Jad, you can't kill Jad. One life won't make it possible.

-- Please tell me exactly how much GP/hour in runes you currently make from Barrows. Double that, and see what the GP/hour of Barrows becomes then.. I highly doubt it'll be anything impressive. (Not to mention, it's an elite reward.)

-- The only task worth doing in the Slayer Tower is Abyssal Demons. Everything else is either skip, or cannonable. So Abyssals will go from ~25 --> ~27.5K Slayer XP/hour. Your overall Slayer XP increase will be negligable.

Not everything new is OP.. Come on guys. Just think about it, really think about it.



To elaborate on the red dragons part - "• Noted red dragonhide from Brimhaven dungeon" - keep in mind, this will likely require 91 RC.

You will get, at best, *26 Red Hides + ~26 Dragon Bones per inventory. The value of a red hide at alch price is ~2,246 GP. The current value of Dragon Bones is ~1800. Call it 4K per Red Dragon killed, 9.6 trips per hour required for ONE million per hour, let alone 'mils' you spoke of. 6.25 minutes per trip, 14.42 seconds per Red Dragon (6 attacks, requiring an average hit of 23), Mind you, everyone with access to noted red hides will have access to double nats. And the fun part here? This doesn't even include banking time, then running back time. 1M/hour will be a far, far stretch , let alone multiple millions.

Also keep in mind Red Dragons DO NOT drop Visages.

I love most of the rewards but i have a problem with 3 the seem to OP for old school
1. the red d hides shouldnt be dropped as notes
2. dag bones shouldnt be dropped as note
3. dragon bones shouldnt be dropped as notes in the wilderness

lol at everyone screaming OP, its not like every player is going to be able to instantly have all the requirements for each elite task. I can't wait for these to be released, hopefully it'll motivate me to start playing more and work harder towards maxing.

Also I cant wait to have a chompy pet

I don't know about you guys but I am really excited for all of these diaries and rewards!
I am not worried about the prices of items going down since you will need to of achieved at least Hard/Elite for it to really benefit you also you will need majority of your stats above 90 as Mod Ronan said.
