I am VERY interested in what kind of special attacks you can write.
Are you very limited in that department?
Would you have to use special attacks that already exist in this game, or
would you be able to create totally new ones?

We can code completely new effects , provided they use existing graphics .

Suppose I want my purple dragon to make your armour all fall on the floor.
I can code it to do that, fine. Shame about your barrows kit.
Then we'd need an animation for the special attack.
I'd need to find an existing one. Perhaps the projectile graphic of the Water Wave spell would make it look like your armour was being washed off?
Finally I'd need the dragon to do something as this attack is launched.
There's bound to be an animation of the dragon rearing up on its hind legs, or something like that.
So if I make the dragon rear up on its hind legs, then play the Water Wave spell's projectile from his mouth area, it would look a bit like he'd shot water from his nose to wash your armour off.

Etc.

Funny kind of dragon, though.

That, btw, is why the Culinaromancer uses a sort of Air Wave spell in the Recipe for Disaster cutscene where he freezes everyone. We were short of graphics budget and didn't have time to commission a custom spellcasting effect.

Now we are talking Mod Ash.
Now we are *bleeping* talking.

My brain is going at 100 miles per hour hearing you say that, so much so I cannot functionally write it all down on this post.

I will say though.
This is a great thing to hear from you.
I may have more to say on this subject, I just have to find a way to communicate it to you.

I do not speak for everyone, but I mean ''everyone'' loves a ''good'' (good is such such such a mild term for the encounter) fight between a monster and a group of people? no?

Edit: I am not begging for more content. I have not scratched the surface on the content out, and I would guess not to many have. However opportunities for more content, as I am taking from your post, are very possible if given the ok by the community.

The opportunities...
Oh the opportunities...

Fights that incorporate Non-Combat skills / Combat skills / unrelated to skill mechanics at all.

Monsters with killing blows that ARE AVOIDABLE if paying attention.
Monsters with to much health for simply 3 people to kill in one inventories worth of food.

etc. etc.

Goosebumps thinking about the opportunities...

Did you read my post? Please don't tell me that you ignored it, i speak for a lot of players!

I read it. Yes, we have copies of OSRS from each major update.

While I appreciate you speak for a lot of players, we can't tell from your post how many players that is. Or how many players might disagree with you, but aren't represented in your post. So I'm afraid we can't just go by your posts. Instead we run these polls. Features don't get added unless they score 75%; the system is heavily biased in favour of OSRS staying as it is unless a very large majority voice supports a change.

So why were rares given a different treatment? Why did we need a 75 per cent majority for them to stay tradeable and discontinued?

Rare items aren't available in OSRS at all, yet. However they get released, that'll be a new piece of content entirely, not a change from the status quo of OSRS.

I'm not sure if this has been suggested, as I have not read through most of this thread - but it is possible that we have the ability to pre ban any players before they are even in the chat? You are able to do this in EoC by pressing the bag icon - though I know it might be hard to add that concept into the 07 servers. Are you able to add something like how the ::toggleroof option works? So it would be like ::kickplayer123.
