Mod Ash, and other Jagex mods, i kindly ask you to make the backup of the game as it is right now. The name for this game "Old School Runescape" is for a reason. With all of those new content updates you are offering, it won't be "Old School Runescape" anymore. Some of us are perfectly fine with the game as it is now, and we are afraid of the history repeating itself. It all starts with making the game easier to play for the players. Right now we have a great game that majority of us love, and it can be ruined extremely easily.

In order for you to proceed, you need to understand our mentality:
1) We love the simplicity of the game.
2) PVP is perfect as it is right now
3) The game is harder to play than the modern version of Runescape, players actually feels a sense of achievement. A game that's a challenge is always more enjoyable than the game that is too easy.
4) No matter how great the game is, without a decent community the game is not the same. Instead of focusing on new content, focus on making community events. Community events are great, because they bring the community closer, and improve the overall experience of the game. There is never enough players that help each other out, or show some respect to their fellow players. Don't forget, you can also participate in the game in the community events with the players. After all, it is you Jagex that should be leading by example. Having a mature and respectful community would make the game more enjoyable to everyone, meaning in the long run more people will play. From the business side, you have to think long term, not short time(you have already made that mistake).

Original message details are unavailable.
leave f-keys alone...i love your work Mr mod, but we don't want anything that mirrors the main game.

f-keys are vital for pkers, so please don't ignore pkers again like you did in eoc...thats why we are here now,

Seriously though!! This update would make weapon switching way more difficult!!

Blahhh.. VOTE NO..

ps: all other updates look nice.. Was wondering when the "k"s and "m"s feature would be added.

Quote button wasn't working.. But this is so true... It scares me to see OSRS resorting back to it's old "content based" self.. Just leave it alone geez... Or at least stop making such major changes... leave f keys alone

@ Mod Ash

You stated that you cannot create new models (at this moment) but you could re-write the current models of a monster to alter its stats/drops.

I am curious about the mechanics of the monster.
Are you able at this time to take an existing monster in the game, and tweak what it can/can't do in combat to change the fight? Or would that simply be considered ''creating a new model''?

I would LOVE to hear back.
Thanks

The model is the graphic. Monsters (and objects and scenery) are all told which model to use. They can also be told to recolour it, in many cases.

So the blue dragon monster and black dragon monster are both defined something like this:
name=Blue dragon
model=dragon
recolour to blue
hitpoints = 105
name=Black dragon
model=dragon
recolour to black
hitpoints = 190

We could probably define a purple dragon in the same way, with higher stats and some special attacks, if you liked.

I am VERY interested in what kind of special attacks you can write.

Are you very limited in that department?
Would you have to use special attacks that already exist in this game, or
would you be able to create totally new ones?
