I love this idea:
"An aged guardian stands by a lever near the Yanille bank. When you talk to her, she lists the boss monsters of various quests that you have completed. You select which one you’d like to fight again. Once you’re ready, you pull the lever. You are teleported into a cave that looks exactly like the KBD lair, but instead of the KBD you meet the monster you wished to fight. It’s a private cave, so you’d have the monster all to yourself. If you win, you get rewarded with yellow tokens. The aged guardian exchanges these for degradable yellow armour that absorbs monster damage but not PVP damage."
The only thing i would change is the last bit. This sort of thing shouldn't give rewards and especially not new armour reward. This sort of thing would just be for fun and seeing if we could best the boss faster.
Maybe it could be timed? and have a leader board with the 10 top fastest times? I don't know. But I do not like the idea of new armour or weapons as this is oldschool Runescape and the armour available is what makes it oldschool Runescape.
Maybe armour that is only effective within the mini game, that would be exceptable, and outside this mini game it would just be for show.
But this is my view on oldschool Runescape at the moment (KEEP IT OLDSCHOOL!) and i hope a lot of others agree with me. Thanks for reading
