I'm going to say i agree with some people in this thread. You should not have changed anything that you didn't poll / that the community DID NOT want. You guys said in the begining any changes would be polled...

It wasn't a poll, it was a survey to find out how the players felt. Will this justification be used to implement other changes in the future or is this a one time failure?

When it comes to game integrity issues it will yes.

Updates such as this one which protect the integrity of the game aren't ones that need to be polled.


You're treating the term like its some highly specialised knowledge, rather than just a value term, open to a lot of interpretation. 'Game Integrity' isn't some enternal law that game developers deal out from some lofty height. The very best you could do with a phrase like 'Game integrity' is insert some obvious values. Players being listened to is in my opinion an obvious value that constitutes a part of 'Game integrity'. The Old School team clearly have other ideas

I suppose if we qualified it, it boils down to what makes the game less healthy and is potentially damaging. All of which is explained in the newspost.

Hope this will be open for discussion, the support for this is just so low. It makes me wonder if this problem is unhealthy for the game or if its unhealthy people who mad at a perceived disadvantage. #415 Trimmed Comp

I'll be honest, I'm a bit disappointed with the removal of these little quirks in the gameplay. As thousands have already benefitted from these little tricks, it seems strange to make the change so late in the game. Oh well, I hope things are for the better. Perhaps they've underestimated just how lazy we scapers are ^^
