You told us Solomons and Spins/Keys were added so that you WOULD NOT raise the membership price. Now that you're raising the price, I expect you'll be removing microtransactions.

Oh what's that, you're keeping them in? You're all greedy, money hungry, and lazy? That's surprising.

Cmon, Im just playing OSRS, and just go back to have some nostalgic fun, IDC about the price rising at all (if we get what we deserve for the price), but with a price increase its hard to get all my friends back, my plan to get the best Latin clan on Rs again get ruined for the price increase, now it will be harder for my brother and I to get
TMC
back again, at least get f2p servers for OSRS.

I'll wait to see how much the increase will be, but I doubt it will impact me directly as I renew at the end of each quarter.

I disagree with some of the comments asking for split fees, though I generally play on in the OSRS arena I still have friends that only play in RS3. As such, I semi-frequently attend there for birthday events, caping ceremonies, and to ensure my clan status remains intact.

I think I am within the silent majority when I say that a split fee scenario would increase the overall cost to more people than it would benefit over both platforms, knowing that a large percentage of the cost is directed at the common core elements within the Jagex Publishing suite.

In the above, the reporting system shares a common system in that offenses that require severe restrictions impact us equally in all platforms. We also still maintain chat and communication abilities between platforms, which eliminates the need to access 3rd party chat systems just to stay in touch with friends we have made over the years. we also share a common Forum system, splitting that in to two separate entities while still preserving it's existing functionality would be cost intensive indeed.

In reality; nobody likes the cost of anything going up, unless it's the labor rate being paid to them in their job, but inflation is a reality. as long as the increase is modest and doesn't more resemble gouging, I'm confident most of us will adjust.

I'd be interested to see the timeline of how much Jagex has made off of this game (annually) vs the # of players who play the game. To me it seems as if the # of players has decreased yet now they're going to raise the price? This looks like a move to increase short term profits, not so much as trying to be competitive or help create better content.

Note- Also what percentage of Runescape's revenue is going back into the game vs going to another Jagex game?

I'm not being funny but you keep ruining the game constantly throughout the oldschool experience, it's called "Oldschool" for a reason and with all this content it looks like you're pretty much trying to recreate EOC on an Oldschool server, with the prices raising you will lose many of your members, therefore you will probably be profiting the same amount as you usually are, it's pointless to change the prices; it's like you're purposely trying to kill the game. I probably will just stock on bonds using my gp before this happens, then you wont be getting any money from me at all.

I'm on #TeamOSRS. I very much enjoy playing on the old school servers as it brings back some very memorable times. I do not want to use my hard earned money to contribute to any kind of updates for RS3 due to the prior filth that has been released. EOC was the beginning of the end for many players as well as myself. The best update that has been made was the OSRS servers being brought back. Hearing about this update brought me back to the game after years of being away from it. In the end, if two different billing fees are not created in the near future to separate RS3 from OSRS, then I WILL NOT continue to pay for this foolishness. There is a very simple solution to this. Make it happen Jagex, I'm calling you all out!!!

Oh look, another update that will drive more players to quit. Increasing the price even more is only going to make it harder to introduce new players to the game, and make it stupidly expensive to have multiple accounts. I agree with a split server price more than anything on this thread. At least half of the OSRS player base doesn't even touch RS3, and probably never will.

Thanks for the notice and heads up, Yikes on bonds going up though but i do not mind as i enjoy osrs. Personally i like having access to both games being that i often play RS3 with several of my clan members, as price increases are a part of life i am sure most people will adjust to the new costs in time. :) ORA High Council Member
