I have come to make another suggestion

How about we scrap the whole
"Trading post"
and build off the general idea of the
GRAND EXCHANGE
. Take the exact same idea of the grand exchange, make a development blog about how we could change the the old Grand Exchange exactly into something we all would like today. This way it would give us something entire, to build off of.

I already know this is what they are already are trying to do,
but they're trying to make the grand exchange without making it the grand exchange.
If you know what I mean.

What the majority of the osrs community thinks about is hating on anything to do with runescape past 2007. As well as shooting down anything that involves it. These people need to grow up.
Listen to me, I'm your dad.

So basically, you're all asking for the
GE with a different paint job
. It's a way to trade items between players via currency. Jagex made something exactly like it back in the day that worked and they can't even say a peep about it. It's kind of sad lol.

If we had the general idea of the grand exchange to build off of, we could change anything probably.

ex.
Location
How Trading Works exactly? ( Tweek some things? )
Name? If you really care that much. SUPER GRAND EXCHANGE 2.0 lol
Paintjob

If everyone just admits we're asking for a grand exchange, this process will be so much easier.

what about first priority investment in defense vs the ddos's? its okay you guys are doing so much for the community and content to keep ppl playing and enjoy as much as possible, but most of us fears to do 90% of the pvm/pvp content because there can be just a sudden lagg, and tons of hours grinding/farming can just dissapear because theres still no solution for the laggs... would suggest to make gravestones or 100% keep item safe mode "activation" when pings hit 500+ from server side, so not a single person would complain about it and its not a hard investment in java i belive...
we are paying for the game jagex, just sayin if you had not bond i would say not even half of the player base would pay for this state of the servers...

I agree on creating a dev blog about deciding what type of GE/Trading Post everyone is interested in. I for one would like to see banks around Gielinor become less dead. I'd like to see the ability to buy & sell items in every bank (6 total). Detailing the item amount, desired price, location of trade, and of course a name to PM. Bids automatically will be removed when logged off for longer than 30 minutes and items stored at the bank until you retrieve them. This, to me would feel more like a OSRS Auction house.

I believe one of the issues revolving around fans disliking the G.E is that it basically reminds them of the game becoming RS3. And anything related to the development of RS3 is severely frowned upon. I believe there is an option out there that works better than 3rd party websites, but not as easy to monetize millions as the G.E.

Jagex, please take a re-poll and start discussing with us what we'd like as a Trading medium.

I don't want a grand exchange that automatically buys/sells stuff for me. The key why I play oldschool is because it is social, I have to interact with people. The grand exchange destroyed that feeling back in the days for me, so i'm glad that you still have to meet up with people on the new trading post.

Maybe it's time to start looking how other MMO's handle their economy via trading post.

Example = World of Warcrafts auction house

How does the WoW auction house work?

It's a system where you can post anything you want for any price you want.
So many times in WoW I'd walk into the auction house and buy my materials at a ridiculously cheap price from people that just want to get rid of them. Then at other times I'd need something really bad and there would only be a few people having an offer up of that item at a really unreasonably high offer, but sometimes i'd have to bite the bullet.

You can see everyones post idividually, and use filters like the quantity, price, seller, time left on the offer etc.

You wouldn't be fighting over a manipulated price, you could simply post your offer lower then the higher asking prices.

Anyone who has played WoW seriously would agree with me when I say you could get lost in the auction house for HOURS looking for better prices, trying to buy low and flip it for a higher price.

Now, the issue with this system might be the insane amount of volume of items that are in Runescape. So this is where i'm saying that the mechanics DO NOT have to be the exact same as WoW's auction house, but maybe you should seriously consider a smart way to implement a trading post kind of like it.

Auction houses could be located all over Runescape (Near Banks) Giving the players the easy access that **bez also offers.

This auction house is kind of like zybez or GE but implemented in-game, also most items would still hold an average price. This idea, however would involve an instant buy/sell re-poll. (Failed by 3%)

As far as the new continent goes, I'm currently running around runescape in most worlds seeing the odd person. How in the hell does opening an entire new continent do anything but stretch our already extremely limited community even

Couldn't agree more.

**-poll trading posts pls since atm they're basically the same as **bez.
Also, when are you planning to release the diaries + zeah if they pass poll?

You seriously made the trading post pointless because we can the same thing on a major website specifically for trading and buying things on old school...
Well done, Jagex!!!!!

So we will still have to pm the seller to buy the item/s? Damn it. Its already that way..... Nothing gained. Great......

The trading post is a complete and utter waste of dev time! Why should we leave what we are doing to post offers, when we can stay where we are, doing what we're doing and use the alternative way of trading... :/

Trading system like the way you post it = pointless.
We should be able to buy stuff from it, if we cant there is no point of creating it.
Seller post, choose his price, wait for buyer
Buyer needs and item, looks for some offers, choose the best one, buy it from there, seller recieve his cash, everyone happy. This would be a good idea
