This version of the "Trading Post" will not add anything that we do not already have. When I first started on OSRS I was excited for the old "World 2 Falador" trade style. That lasted about 1 day until I realized wasting hours spamming chat trying to buy or sell items is extremely frustrating. On top of being a complete waste of time I feel like it only benefits scammers/merchants and the community would be better off doing without "Here take this *trades Camelot tab* my friend will buy all but he's in Seers". Not saying anyone falls for this but it wastes MORE of peoples time. I want to buy the items I need, get out of Varrock, and get back to playing the game.

Even with the "Trading Post" you have to post an offer and wait for a response that interrupts whatever task you are currently working towards to meet someone. Or, alternatively, respond to someone else and interrupt them and wait on them to meet you. Of course this assumes that there is currently someone online that is looking to trade the items in question.

I support upgrading the Trading Post to Grand Exchange status with any tweaks the community finds necessary.

Advantages:
1. Convenience - Save time. Reduce frustration
2. Loot Share - Ability to implement Loot Share if desired in the future
3. Scamming - Significantly reduce the number of scams

Disadvantages:
1. Limits interaction - No need to interact with other players
( IMO not a negative thing. I have had an account on Runescape for nearly 10 years now and have befriended ONE person through trade )

Really excited about Zeah, hope it gets polled through.

I like the trade post, but you should be able to post buy offers aswell.

I like achievement diaries, though the wilderness one should be a separate poll imo

We are going to be doubling up our efforts to do some good by clearing out the bots and giving their, ehem, "hard earned" coins to some excellent charities.


Awesome, I love this idea. =) I really hate that players cheat, both the gold sellers and the gold buyers should have their accounts emptied of all items and stats. Banning them doesn't seem to stop them making new accounts, I wonder if moving them to their own server where they can't effect normal play would work? Hi.

Question: Will players be able to post buy offers on the Trading Post?

This is important because people may not be selling the item players want, or sellers may not be selling at prices buyers want to pay.

Also, will it be able to post buy and sell offers via the website, and not just in game?
I want to be able to post my buy and sell offers via the website.

I have been waiting for the Trading Post to resume my OSRS play, because I don't like using off site third party websites to do my trading.

I'm also looking forward to the new continent.

I agree something will need to be done about fake trade offers, price manipulation, and scam attempts.

For starters, the player should have to have the items or GP they are offering.

If they do have the items or GP, I don't know what stops someone from changing their minds, cancelling the offer, changing the price, or offering a different amount of items or different items entirely in a bait and switch.

If a player repeatedly posts offers but does not follow through that player should lose the right to use the trading post and possibly be banned if they are switching items, switching prices to attempt to scam or manipulate prices, etc.

I would very much like to be able to report attempted scammers who did not complete a trade when I see they are putting up the wrong item or wrong amount of items or GP repeatedly to different players. The trade window should record not just completed trades, but cancelled trades to let players report attempted scams.

There are times trades are legitimately cancelled, but based on the chat and what is put up in the trade window its pretty easy to see if someone is trying to scam or not. Hi.
