Everybody wants Phree stooffs PLOX!!!!, how could that poll have ever failed?
There was a lot of demand for GWD but you didn't put it into the game exactly as it was did you?
You made an effort to protect skills like mining and smithing by changing the adamant drops and you removed safe spots in the boss rooms before polling it.
You could have easily augmented both slayer and smithing via broad bolts had you lowered the strength to mithril and charged 400 slayer points to learn how to smith them from mithril bars, this would have been as close in smithing level to make as the slayer requirement is for using them. They could have also been made to yield 15 bolts making them more cost effective and less expensive to use than normal mith bolts.
Both skills would have gained an important new aspect had you done something like this.
Just because that's the way something was doesn't mean that's the way it should remain when you poll it, you've already set precedent in changing old content that gets polled before polling it with the GWD dungeon.
Before you add something to a poll that has the potential to harm another aspect of playing just because players asked you to, shouldn't you make sure you can prevent damage and still add what was asked for before polling?
