I think you should extend the Summer Special an extra 4 weeks, to push it into the back end of summer.

In that time people are due to get grades from schools etc, rewards from parents, may increase the amount of people paying for membership.
It's more of an EoC thing (you get rewards for buying it) I doubt OSRS mods really have a say.

There is something being vastly overlooked here.

They have said many people subbed within the first few weeks, so we don't need permanent F2P, but they also said many of the people who made F2P played before and subbed on mains. So a lot of this quick turn around time is people who have already played and sub again.

This does nothing for new players that should be drawn in to keep this game alive in the long run (except for maybe drive them away).

Also, you can crack all the "tin foil hat" jokes you want, but let's be real here, we all know the whipcrackers at IVP will try to get you to herd people into pay to winscape because it's more profitable (and we all know you won't say anything about it).

this doesn't make any sense at all.
you got 90% success in the trail. yet you still do not want to bring f2p because your* afraid of losing too many subscribed members, which you have no proof of this occurring because you do not know this for a fact as its a conclusion based on your fear of losing revnue. you will be losing members (like myself) regardless, due to the face that youre taking away perm f2p. so the sword is double edged my mod friends.

also, pre eoc is back out, im shure that your revnue will sky rocket right back up, I don't understand why you are so afraid to lose revnue when "runescape" itself is a success, your* worrying about crumbs atm. I thought the whole idea of HUGE updates on OSRS was firmly based on the majority of what the players want, and not about the success rate and not on the revenue aspect.

in conclusion, perm f2p or not, you are losing subscribers anyway. and taking away f2p is defeating the purpose of OLD SCHOOL runescape. its about our decision, just like how every other poll was judged.

so i don't sound completely flammable, my solution to all this to help both the staff + players out. why not make a separate subscription for both f2p/p2p.
say... 2.50 CAD$/month for f2p?

No, 90% of those that signed up did so in the first days.

90% is unrealistically high.

They do say "most players are subbing well before the end of the trial" which suggests that over 50% are joining members (and it is suggested that "most" subscribe in 11 days or fewer).

50% sounds like a lot of people to get to join though.

It would seem better to find out to get the remaining (less than) half to subscribe at some point, rather than remove it.

I also question retention of members in times when people will stop paying, due to little time or an emergency. I imagine you retain MANY MORE members after, say, finals, if they can play on f2p in what little free time they have than if you don't allow them to play and they adopt another hobby in their down time between studying.

1. We want a steady flow of new players incoming.
2. We want a F2P Pking community.

Pay close attention to the fact that those reasons are *not* "We want to play Runescape without paying any money!".

I'm so disappointed in you MMK/rest. You guys know way better than this.

this way only veterans or quitted people are attractive.
i was 2 years f2p myself, after that i became permanent member for 4 years wich stills goes on.
if there wasn't f2p or just a version for a few weeks,i would just have left the game.

Im very disappointed your not implementing f2p fully, after you clearly saw within the first 2 weeks you released this that you had alot people started playing this in hopes that there will be a chance that the game can be free. Why can't you guys have like only 2-3 worlds being f2p permanently. Seriously this is why i subscribed in the first place......How the hell you want Old school to flourish when people actually wanted to play the game they really love. Don't get me wrong Rs3 is still fun im glad for Legacy but seriously why don't get with the A program you do it!!!!! Its not gonna be a downfall your bot killing is been perfect other than the weekends. Bringing f2p back will not make you lose subscribers but more of a motivation in time.......Don't you want your game to have over 75k-100k people again. I don't understand why your taking such a slow route thats eventually gonna decline and become like runescape classic its gonna be a dead game (not really but not very active game but say losing a plentyful of people overtime). Just do it already please........
