I definitely appreciate this post; although it should of been in the News Feed for better coverage (not all the community uses the forums now a days).

I generally agree that this has been a painful year for the game, but I am glad you realize and admit that. You can get better and improve yourself once you first realize areas that need improvement.

I like the idea of the feedback on recent updates & the new polling system will help drastically. We can see how OSRS has done a good job on their community management, so we just need to get back on the same course.

In terms of TH, I truly understand that this is what keeps the game alive from a business aspect and I've always generally supported the revenue stream. I have more of a problem with it not really connecting well with the same at times, the length of time the promo runs for (usually short and requiring players to spend quite a bit of money to get a full cosmetic outfit) and the quantity of them. Hopefully the changes you mention help, but I still worry a bit about this topic.

All in all, hopefully we see a change for the better in 2018. Time will tell, but I think a change in communication is a bit of the first ask from us.

C'mon now, this thread is "damage control". Post it, people calm down for a few weeks, then round the mulberry bush we all go again. This is what people aren't getting. Some ******* "coder" releases OSBuddy or some other "helper client", people get hyped because they're stupid like sheep, and then down the road once the "helper client" has a ton of downloads he releases an "update" to hijack everyone.

A few weeks ? They released the "buy moar keys" ghost outfit promo mere days after this.
Several mods have subtly hinted that they are not happy with it but have no choice - the Chinese after all give the orders.
It's too late. You've awakened the gazebo.

Yeah RS3 is dead. OSRS has more players. A game released in 2013 has more players than the main game. :P

Jagex took their own humiliation to a new level.
