I still miss my daily check of the oddment store to see if stars or lamps were on sale...
It became a daily part of the game that is gone now - bad update !!!
TBH TH isn't exactly the game's best monetization method so if better game balance has too many people getting mad about it then maybe they'd be better of switching to something else.

Don't forget lamps have never been 75% off during BXP or DXP events. There was also a purchase limit of 30 lamps per day. They are never bankable so you couldn't have stockpiled more than 28 of them when one a blue moon 75% off came.

Yes that is correct....I'm aware they are not bankable and not available on DXP events. That is beside the point that they are no longer worth using oddments on at the "New Slightly reduced price" regardless how many you can buy at any given time. Are they going to be available during DXP going forward? IF so then you are basically paying for Large Lamps and that would be worth the buying price. So oddment hoarding will be even more common due to the time between DXP events.

Err... We don't need to hoard oddments. They come from numerous sources outside TH. We are also getting new things to buy from the Oddments Store. Previously Legendary Pets were SGS or exclusive events items purchasable only with real money. Now they are on the Oddments Stores. It means Oddments now are far more valuable, and we have without a doubt more ways to use spend our Oddments.

Quoted from Runescape Wiki, The Official Source for Everything Runescape and endorsed by Jagex :
Oddments are currency obtained from Treasure Hunter. They can be used in the Marketplace, which can be opened by clicking on them. They can be stored in the currency pouch. An oddment can be valued at 7,851 based on the Grand Exchange value of a bond, a bond converting to 15 keys and keys being valued at 400 oddments.
Other than Special events that MAY offer oddments as a rewards, there are NOT numerous ways to obtain then as they ARE "
currency obtained from Treasure Hunter
"
Those Special events that offer oddments are NOT repeatable and NOT always available to ALL members.

The RS Wiki is definitely not always correct or complete. Oddments do come in a lot of ways outside TH, including repeatable sources like Premier Club (1k Oddments per month) which we will be able to buy all the time. They also come from Yak Tracks (18k oddments the last 12 months) that come once every 4 months. Oddments also come from weekly completion bonus of Daily Challenges, which of course occurs every day. These are just a few of many many sources of Oddments
Knight Scope is correct. While there
are
non TH sources of oddments, they're not very reliable since they're in limited quantities that are only sometimes available. Sources that require premium membership are only available to premium members, with the membership only consistently available once a year. Daily challenge oddments are only available in small quantities and generally require completing multiple days' worth of challenges to unlock. Even oddments are also only given in small quantities at a time so how many you get depends on how many hours you spend on that while it's available. You'd need to add up the exact numbers across sources and who it's available to if you want to support your claim.
It
does
take time to accumulate oddments, especially if you're trying to buy something expensive. That's kinda the point. The matter of debate is if the rate oddments can be obtained is satisfactory proportionate to the store prices.

Knightscope is definitely wrong, and I have commented on a RS Wiki thread. Somebody has already made some correction there.
