Agreed. Not sure which exact players they get their "feedback" from that wanted th to get nerfed like this. Sounds like a Shareholder decision.

Also agree. I was a big fan of the lamp sales as well, this update feels like yet another form of milking money from players. Profits, profits, profits... not the way to compete on a crowded videogame marketplace. Thanks a lot new Jagex leadership...

Agreed, the changes to TH are all bad and an extreme over-reaction to Jagex's prior TH over-reactions when they added 2x, 3x, 4x, and even 8x prizes.

Items in the oddments store are way too expensive, really never worth buying if not on sale.

And for me the change to specific protean's instead of my being able to choose is a real slap in the face. I'm at, or close to, 200 mill in many skills or have enough proteans for others. I only need protean logs now.

Forcing me to convert to logs from other protean types at a 2/3 rate is the same as giving me 2/3 the benefit others get and completely unfair.

I bought a number of 450 key packs in the past to get my existing proteans and oddments. I have no reason to buy in the future if I can't choose and won't get oddments directly from TH either.

its funny how they release roadmap and info on new boss just the day after this th nerf to distract people from this and talk about the upcoming boss. sadly it seems to be working especialy on reddit where everyones almost forgotten about this nerf.

its funny how they release roadmap and info on new boss just the day after this th nerf to distract people from this and talk about the upcoming boss. sadly it seems to be working especialy on reddit where everyones almost forgotten about this nerf.

It only means players play the game for its content, TH or other optional features are just afterthoughts.

A lot of us who play instead of pay for the game actually are getting more xp because we accumulated oddments faster than we could consume them because of the smaller daily xp item purchase limit.

A lot of us don't have much disposable time to grind out skills that don't have a protean option. With Lamps on sale at 75% off was rather nice to help cut some time. The stars were nice to build up BXP for DXP events or just to cut time. Now they cost more so it's actually lost time because you can't buy as many. The daily limit is higher but it cost more so it's still a loss.

That's why a lot of us buy Premier Club and get the bigger bang of the bucks and attain events to get fast xp and get lots of oddments.

Don't forget lamps have never been 75% off during BXP or DXP events. There was also a purchase limit of 30 lamps per day. They are never bankable so you couldn't have stockpiled more than 28 of them when one a blue moon 75% off came.

While I understand that people are upset at being inconvenienced, I find it rather unfortunate so many people rely so heavily on lamps, proteans and bxp. People shouldn't be relying so heavily on those and we get plenty from various events in addition to some AFK skilling. It's really only a big deal because some skills aren't fun to grind even when you have the time to. The real solution to that would be reworks and QoL improvements. How to block a forum user

Ok I'll try to splane to you. In the time of no events when there was a sale for the Stars that give Bonus XP you could buy them, use them on the skill you wanted and build up a very large amount of BXP and wait for a Double XP event to train that skill. Now the stars cost more so the amount of BXP you can build up is less because you are nearly paying full price for the stars.

If you were buying keys @ max discount those could be saved until a good TH event or DXP event and use them at that time.
