I think this 2 year Lifecycle plan is actually fair to both new and veteran players.

The veterans simply can't say they either paid for the game or its items in the past and demand Jagex to make them exclusive to them. It is simply not fair to the new players and will totally stop them from coming to this game.

Besides, these items are cosmetics and untradeable (at least for the first batch), they don't affect many people at all.

I think new players would like elite skilling outfits too. It hurts no one adding them to the game. :D :D :D

That's their choice yes, but it gives less reason using (wasting) your valuable keys now that Jagex plans to return items for free after they have been out for a few years

I still got every elite outfit even though there was a slight chance they might release them ingame.

I don't mind new players getting better stuff personally, but I believe it hurts the ones who think skilling outfits worth a lot. :D :D :D

RIP any chance of me ever paying for anything again. I spent a lot of time and effort on multiple of my rare items that I otherwise would not have. Plus the Astromancer set took a lot of work to get, and i paid a lot of money for the extra credits at the end. Now its free. I feel rather cheated.

I feel like I was cheated out of my subscription too if I followed your logic.

I am a 18+ year near primordial veteran player who used to pay monthly subscription for a long time before Bonds made almost everything in this game obtainable from just playing the game.

Am I really "cheated" out of my subscription money? Not really just because I think my money was well spent, and in fact I am paying for almost everything with Bonds I got from playing the game now. It is absolutely fair to me actually. :D :D :D
Difference is Bonds have a price tag, Astromancer outfit and many more have none.

Since a lot of modern time games charge real money for Early Access, not being able to access items and/or content early can be considered the price that one pays for not paying/playing to get those Astromancer outfit and such earlier.

I know some may disagree about the "values" of Early Access but if you are one of them, please keep in mind that those who bought retail Runescape Cards have more right than you to feel "cheated" since the sole benefits they have are being "cheated" by the Premier Club Reward Tokens. Those who did not pay/play to get Astromancer outfits could still get something else with their money/efforts from TH or the in game event, but poor Club Promotion members are totally "cheated" because they had no other rewards to come with their payments. :D :D :D

NO! NO NO NO NO NO! i like having my rare unobtainable items! i worked really hard to get some of them! its bad enough you made items that were only supposed to be obtainable through gamecards or purchasing premier club available again, and even re-released some holiday items, at this rate everyone will have access to everything. stop. seriously. please stop. im straight up telling you this now. i will no longer pay for any limited time anything. i don't trust you to keep it limited time. ill still buy premier club, but only because i like having 12 months of membership and a select world. thats literally the only value left in it. oh the chat badge is neat too. but i no longer trust you. for years i have defended every decision you have made, but i am done. you tell us something will only be available for a limited time, but it is turning out to be a lie every time.

^ This sums up my feelings. Some items, and cosmetics were implied to be discontinued. Jagex should ask the community first, and apply the community's input to future items. For past promotions, players felt outright lied to when these items were rereleased, or best case scenario, felt the promises were dishonest after J-Mods mentioned they "rare" or "limited edition" doesn't mean a rerelease isn't possible.

Instead of rereleasing the same items/cosmetics and promos, why not keep releasing new and unique ones so these items maintain some actual value? Oversaturation leads to the perception of these items as "junk" and people lose interest over time.

When Squeal of Fortune/Treasure Hunter, and Soloman's General store was released, I was someone who actually bought keys or cosmetics that were advertised as being limited edition/special, or "rare". After seeing these items and cosmetic overrides reintroduced, oversaturated, it feels like there isn't any concern to the exclusivity of these items.
