In my own experience, on a F2P account if I got members lamps, I would keep them in my inventory and not destroy them, but it would not make me get members it instead made me stop playing the account because I was reluctant to destroy the members lamps but could not bank them so it stopped me playing the game after getting several in my inventory.
Getting bankable items is an incentive to get members, but getting items you can't bank and which clog up your inventory is an incentive to stop playing the game.
The solution is give F2P a F2P usable lamp, and tell them if they were members they would have gotten a better lamp.
The members lamps can't be made bankable because they are meant to be used when you get them based on the levels you currently have, not saved for later to get more XP, and making them bankable would require making them record all your levels at the time the lamps were received, which would make the lamps not stackable in your bank since they would all have different levels, and require a lot of sever data storage for all accounts, so is not a feasible idea.
