Guys this is not funny, I'm also considering quitting until I finish college and get a job so I am able to afford members. It's either that or I luck out on a monthly subscription from a coupon in a cereal box. The problem is I wasted a key on this lamp so there's no way I'm going to destroy it and now because of it I can't do dungeoneering (which is basically the only way to level up

Check this shit out: I got
10 (!!!!!!)
small xp lamps (summoning) from one treasure hunter key... Only to find out they are P2P items, which you cannot bank, which you cannot use, which you only can destroy and be happy with it. Imagine that.

What purpose does this serve then, other than to drive me mad? Tease me like; hahaha get P2P to unlock you loser.... Fills me with anger, even submitted a bug report.
Fuck you, Jagex.

If you check the date of the post you necro'ed you should see it was almost 1.5 years ago and you won't find many complaints about lamps not being bankable not only from free players. The reason is you can cash them out for oddments, yes, not just lamps but any items you can't use or don't like to keep. It is hardly an issue.

I agree its not really an incentive to join members pretty much a turn off on the game itself. And to make it worse I got a large bag was going to save if I decided to get members but now jagex won't let me do calendar till I use thats pure lame. So guess destroy time.

There should be an NPC to swap the item for f2p item/degrade.

Also another big problem is bond prices are crazy high now so not so rich people can't buy them not all people can afford the increased game prices because of economy in real. When I started rs it was like 3.50 now closer to 13.00 in my area on top of internet, and other stuff in life. Game was fun, simple, challenging now its become crappy and high cost just rich people can buy there xp or wait for double xp weekends and crazy bonus xp events.

Limit bonds to like what 22 for a years membership and separate key/ promotions from membership bond. Make 2 of them.

Also since coming back to f2p the graphics are way slow to add on windows 07 even low graphics. Can't afford computer so how u expect me to afford members lol. Might just stop completely after 16+ yrs of support.

Games getting too complex even showed some friends and they were like no thanks too complex. Maybe not for younger players but old players is actually what rs originated for. Plenty of other games out there with the complexity for them. And even holiday events have been skipped lately what a turn off. They used to be simple and less time consuming. Rs is evolving into crap. Even os isnt os anymore...ugh

Another idea gift wrap the lamps and send to friends on members.

As a level 99+ player, been here over 15 years...

I've said the same as this thread, that giving large lamps to F2P make us not play as it clogs the playing space; 'instead of bank space' - currently I'm not playing as a member, until the texts is viewable in high res monitors, without so much pixelization.

Thus I find it penalization to make us conform to membership; like if we don't buy, we can't even play F2P properly.

Giving someone a prize that they're then burdened with, isn't a prize, it is a ball, and chain. O_o
