It sounds like, from what people who have sided with Armadyl have dug up, that Armadyl rose to godhood via the staff of armadyl and a second artifact that he doesn't want to talk about.

Whether that's "come back when you have a shinier faction token" or "I am withdrawing this information until future content" has yet to be known, but it certainly has my curiosity. Forget my idea of painting him as a hippie, I want to see (whether I or someone else writes it) what potentially shameful act involving that artifact gave him his power.

Perhaps he killed someone for it.

I'm thinking that the Artifact itself is horrific, and Armadyl accidentally used it to great effect. If he killed someone for it, he wouldn't have a problem talking about the item itself, he would have just avoided the circumstances surrounding it.

If the Artefact consumes souls in order to empower it's user, then Armadyl certainly wouldn't say a word about it if it helped in his apotheosis.

Well something shattered their planet into a swirling maelstrom of debris.

testing, testing...

Good, cyan seems like a fitting color. If you need me, I'll be brainstorming a story...

My homeworld of Abbinah was such a tranquil place before I destroyed it.

The land was carefree and bountiful. Fights were solved around a discussion table rather than battlefields, and my teachers saw great potential in me as a diplomat. But everything changed when a group of small, green creatures came to our world. They said they were heralds to someone called “The Big High War God.”

Our trackers managed to uncover the location of the portal, and sent a diplomat, my father, through to negotiate peace. After several hours had passed, I had begun to worry for him, when I saw a strange fluctuation in the portal. It was growing. Out stepped a massive creature coated head to toe in armor, decorated with grisly trophies of its victims. I recognized a skull dangling from his shoulderpad, and averted my eyes.

I hid in some nearby brush while the giant creature trudged forward, as legions of ferocious beasts of all shapes and sizes followed him. It was only once his armies filled the valley that the giant spoke. “Find the orb! Search every cave! Raze every village that stands in your way! GO!"

I suddenly realized what the giant was searching for. The Orb of Abbinah was an artifact, said to be left by the elder gods, which could allow its user to control the Anima Mundi, the life force of the world, and bend it to your will. A rogue avianse had used its power against his enemies, but created the Darklands, a wasteland where the Anima Mundi was permanently drained. The elders decided to teleport it deep underground, near the planets core, so it could not be used again.

The “Big High War God” uncovered this by torturing our high council for information, and within the day, he had a tunnel burrowing downwards, and I made my way inside after him. I was nearly lost in the twisting passages, and had to fight off several of the brutes before I found it. Moss and lichen grew all over the cave walls, and I could sense the Anima Mundi flowing through the orb, causing the energy within to shift. “Not so fast, bird!” I heard over my shoulder. I lunged for the artifact and managed to wrap my claws around it. I focused my anger towards the Big High War God and poured it into the orb, causing it to turn blood red. There was a great shaking, and finally an explosion as the very energies of the Anima Mundi burst outward, taking chunks of the planet with them.

Though the war god retreated, with all of his armies destroyed, the avianse fared no better. Our planet, once perfect, was forever scarred. Though the orb allowed me to help rebuild our society, and the avianse accepted my penance, I hope to eventually find them a new home. They deserve nothing less than the crown jewel of the cosmos for what I have put them through.

And while we're at it, the little brainstorming session I tried to build the story off of:

overview:
-armadyl talks of being brought up as an avianse
-skilled diplomat at a young age
-warmonger, maybe put bandos in here?
-armadyl travels to the core of their planet in the hopes of retrieving/protecting the elder artifact there
-accidentally/intentionally unleashes it, dispelling warmonger, annihilating planet

By all means, if you feel I didn't do this god justice (heh) with my story, submit you're own version.

I actually like that story, although I'm not sure if it would fit lore-wise... As far we know, the Yu'biusk goblins didn't leave their plane. Bandos could have been the antagonist with other followers, but then he's evil again. Not that it matters as he will be long dead when the Rite of Passage is released.

Probably the biggest flaw is that Abbinah was in such poor condition before, it is why Aviansie can fly.

Elder Orb sounds wonderful as Artefact.

I wrote a short background story for Kael Forshaw, since I stole borrowed his name.

Kael Forshaw was born within the ruinous area known as Meiyerditch. His father was an influential man among humans, but was yet another sack of meat to the Vampyres. His mother was a fierce woman. Too fierce. It would prove to be her undoing.

At the age of 8, all children in Meiyerditch have to undergo their first tithe. Kael didn't understand what was happening. After all, he was only a child. He struggled a bit, so his mother came forward to protest about the rough treatment she assumed Kael was receiving. The Vampyres have never been known to like resistance, and this particular Vampyre was in a foul mood. He grabbed Mrs. Forshaw and flew away with her. She was never seen again. Kael saw this happen and was helpless, and at that moment decided: I never want to be helpless again. I want to rid the world of Vampyres.

At the age of 12 Kael buried his father and inherited his secretly stashed away silver sickle. He practiced with it in secret until he could dream the moves he was making. At the age of 13 he thought he was ready. He lured a weaker looking Vampyre into a narrow alley. He came up from behind on the Vampyre, but the monster sensed his presence and attacked him. The Vampyre was about to deliver a finishing blow to Kael when a... man? shade? interrupted. Whatever it was, it was moving far too quickly for the eyes of Kael to comprehend. After a short struggle, the Vampyre fled. The man lowered his hood, and said "Quickly, follow me! He'll come back with help. My name is Safalaan."

Kael followed, and never stopped following. And then, one day, an adventurer came to the hideout...
