Wahi's not a backstabber. He never struck me as one; couldn't detect traitor vibes on him.

Angsting about being ignored by Zaros=/=going to betray him. I can speak from experience. I'm not happy Zaros ignores what I've done for him, I don't like it when he treated me so coldly and dismissively, but that doesn't mean I'm planning to stab him with some Elder artifact.

It'd take more for Wahi to betray Zaros.

Mahjarrat are pretty known for all kinds of betrayals, you know...

You do know that the mahjarrat used to swear allegiance to Icthlarin, and his family, before betraying him and fighting for Zaros right? So technically, all the mahjarrat that we know are alive are known for betrayal.

But...but Azzanadra! :(

That guy's so loyal to Zaros, even the events of Children of Mah didn't even faze him.

"Yeah, the god I love so much just white knighted his unstable sister who's actions I just called out sent my race into decline. I'll still follow him and say our relationship is stronger than ever."

SMH...

You know how Zaros is. Very pragmatic. Doesn't waste time with social calls. In Fate of the Gods, when you try to ask his opinion on specific individuals, he's basically like: "Do you really want to talk about this now ?", and only complies because he wants to be on your good side. In Sliske's Endgame, when you walk in on his conversation with Seren he doesn't even stop to chat, and just leaves after you give him his invitation.

Would have been funny if the player could use the Shard of Zaros to prank call him.

Anyways, I'm getting off topic. He hasn't called on Wahi or Akthanakos yet, because he hasn't needed them just yet. There's no use for them. Azzandra is more powerful and more loyal than either of them. He literally created Nex, so her loyalty is assured as well. And for some reason he has a soft spot for Char.

And let's be honest here. All Wahi really did to aid Zaros's return was point the player towards 'Doctor Nabanik.' He never tried to free Azzanadra, Nex, Char, or Akthanakos from their respective prisons. If he did try, he failed. And then there's Akthanakos himself, who did literally nothing but sit in a pyramid.

Meanwhile, both Nex and Char fought to their last breath to fulfill their duties, and Azzanadra and the player are the number one reason for Zaros's return in the first place.

I really hope Wahi doesn't betray Zaros simply because: "He never called meeeeeeeeee!"

So why did he bring Vindicta along, who he had never even met before, over other more powerful and trustworthy followers? You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?

Because Vindicta was his representative in the Heart of Gielnor. Zaros probably figured that if the showdown was going to take place at the Heart, Vindicta knew the area and could be a useful guide.

He also had Azzanadra and Char at his side as bodyguards. And the three main competitors all owed him favors. If Vindicta was going to betray him, he could take it.
