Seren made it to Gielinor, she just didn't stick around. She still came to Gielinor originally, but didn't stick around for two reasons.
First, the player character never went back in time to give her hope that something on Gielinor could help her cure the elves.
Second without the player character's influence, the boy from Meeting History went on to a become an accomplished and fairly evil sorcerer, and eventually Guthix put him down. This display of violence horrified Seren and convinced her that Guthix would not be able to help her. This resulted in her pacing up and leaving Gielinor with her elves.
Now considering there was at least one point in the character's history when we had not influenced Jack in the past (prior to Meeting History (otherwise we'd not have been able to change past events like we do during that quest)), our Guthix is likely a bit more kind than alternate Gielinor's Guthix since well, none of the stuff in their world's past happened in ours.
Where is this stuff about alternate Guthix, Seren and Jack from?

A QA released with DoD, check the unofficial wiki page for the quest the link should be near the trivia section
If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was actually a response to my own question.
I asked if the Dark Imperator was the Zamorakians' attempt to write Zaros out of history or if it was really Loarnab. Their explanation was that Zaros was never subconsciously attracted to Seren's presence on the plane and so never came to Gielinor, and then provided that as the reason why Seren wasn't on the plane (though that likely mean Ardougne is under sea slug, given Witchaven's proximity, or Hazeel's control rather than part of it being sacrificed for the Dark Lord).

Oh yeah, and, if the construct is anything to go by, Bandos was apparently grey beneath all that armor.
This was already common knowledge
Also today I came the 2nd closest I've ever been on my quest to #StopSaradomin

Hmm, never saw that concept before. Plus, I thought the gray we saw on his model was basically chainmail.
Shame what happens when a god gets Bandos'd/Tuska's/V'd as soon as they're introduced.

I'm not surprised that Bandos is grey. A jmod did say somewhere that his race was based on rhinosauruses/rhinosauri?
I worship Mah, for she is mah homegirl! The correct adjective for Mah's followers are: Mahomies, Mah-homeboys, or Mah-homegirls.

So, though I've been back for a while now, I hadn't yet gotten around to doing Dimension of Disaster. This Halloween event finally forced my hand.
I enjoy the concept of the alternate timeline; It's fun to imagine what the state of things beyond what we've seen is. Firstly I'll say that I prefer to operate under the assumption that the whole world isn't messed up in this timeline, just the bits we've visited. After all, imagine if someone from a timeline where Hallowvale never fell ended up in Morytania today. They might think the whole world was ruined, never realizing things were still fine west of the river.
I do feel like they kind of cheated with Lucien in Zemouregal's notes, though. We have done harm on our adventures as well as good, and getting Lucien the Stone of Jas was definitely one of our major oops moments. But apparently without us, not only did he somehow find the Stone in about the same span of time regardless, but he then decided to go on a "rampage of destruction" for some reason (something he never did in the main timeline)?
Nevertheless, there would be changes and results. The fall of the greatest human city in the world, followed by the fall of a good chunk of Asgarnia, would have economic/political consequences for the human lands. There's a lot of fodder for fanfiction and headcanons here. Maybe I'm months late and everyone's already done all that. ;P
Misthalin and the remnants of Asgarnia might form a close formal alliance to prevent further invasion by Zemouregal and the Kinshra. (I have furhter headcanon on this but some terrible stuff just went down in real life so I'll just skip to my other thoughts and post this thing)
I imagine Kandarin would be in better shape... Assuming Hazeel, unlike Zemouregal or the Kinshra, has not seen fit to ravage/destroy. Kandarin is also big enough that the loss of Ardougne, while unfortunate, would still leave plenty of land in the kingdom. (cont.)
Tyras, still alive thanks to our absence, might heroically conclude his crusade in the western lands (doing everything we did in the elf quests, restoring Prifddinas, etc.) then returning home with his troops only to find home fallen to the enemy. Evocative of what happened to Baxtorian (and Tyras might be familiar enough with the story to wax poetic about it).
The loss of Ardougne might allow both brothers to reconcile. Lathas would never go down the path of pseudo-villainy he walked in our world (or at least, would be pulled back from how far he'd already gone). The two would work together, from... I don't know where they'd set up their new capital, but planning their move against Hazeel to retake the city. The Holy Order of Paladins would also have been evicted from Ardougne and guard Lathas in their new location, though the knights of Ardougne, less loyal to the king and more to the city, have found reluctant employ under the management of the new ruler.
(EDIT
: Was going to mention but forgot - Gypsy Aris does tell us in DoD that our actions there will resolve the differences between the two worlds, or something, which may mean the world isn't drastically different.)
The Asgarnian ale must flow.
