I thought I considered myself a follower of Armadyl, but this has mad me question if he is the god I most align with. Bandos is to much of a warmonger for me to follow, and Saradomin claims to be about order, but his actions only cause more chaos. I don't know enough about Zamorak, Serin, or Zaros to make a decision about them. I would probably lean more towards Guthix but he is now dead. I think I need to do more research, can anyone provide a good source for information on the gods? Jax Artis, the Warrior Smith

I would mostly recommend the wiki for reading about the Gods. Zamorak, Zaros, and Seren all have quests that do a solid job of explaining their PoV as well you could do in-game. Dishonor Among Thieves/Children of Mah for Zamorak, Fate of the Gods/Children of Mah for Zaros, and The Light Within for Seren.

I'd like to talk about none of the god factions, none. And i tell you, very short and vivid, it's a nation of your own, in yourself and i like it! It first feels lonely, but you soon start to notice those other foul souls that have the need to workship/follow/fan a god are like smokers, just hooked and hardly able to quit it due to being a long term habit.

Endline is this; don't make statue of me, i'm piece of you all inna whale.

Bump.

There are certain constants in the universe:
If you're a Sean Bean character, there is a good chance you're going to die.
The only person allowed to have the high ground and win is Obi Wan Kenobi.

Now I'm not saying Aramdyl is a Sean Bean character, but he's certainly no Kenobi.

Armadyl, like all the gods is a flawed being, he has done good things and he has made mistakes. His intentions are honest and he genuinely cares about life and the freedom of sentient beings.

Killing Bandos went against his core being and I think he will always regret having to go that far, but in eliminating Bandos he saved countless lives from Bandos pointless warmongering games.

Honestly seems kinda pointless to even debate if a God is good or not- Jagex specifically gave the "good ones" flaws and the "bad ones" some good qualities.
Love the Lore and the RS Gods!

Perhaps.
I'm just currious people there thoughts about it and all.

Him caring about freedom and life and it's very people, i beg to differ. That is only for those HE believes have a part in his vision. One only needs to look back at Forinthry cutscene.

Regarding Bandos. Only until someone else takes up the mantle, Arma merlly delaid a part of the cycle.

This thread is one of the many reasons we need Rite of Passage.

Though I'm wondering, when did Armadyl ally himself with Bandos? I thought their relationship was 100% adversarial, considering he killed Bandos.

Bandos allied himself with every god during the God Wars and switched sides often to prolong the war.
To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.
