You said that the ancient elements are the elements of the previous revision – can you elaborate on that?
That seems to imply that the previous revision's higher planes were elemental planes.
And I realize this is sorta making it a multi-part question but what the heck is up with Shadow? Is it really from last revision, is it actually an "element", all that jazz.

What is the possibility of the feline race Armadyl spoke of that sounded so beautiful on their dying planet, being rescued/recruited by the Queen of Ashes?
Last lore corner, you said onyx was indeed very rare in-universe and it wasn't just a game mechanic. Buuut in-game, glass is made from sand, implying they are both forms of silica as they are in real life, so silica is clearly abundant. Onyx is a form of quartz - which is another form of silica.
So
is it just that gemstone quality quartz is rare, or is it just that quartz with the specific impurities that'd turn it black is rare
, or that the gem needs to contain that magical "fire" that it'd get from exposure to TzHaar and Kal'gers, or something else?

Nature runes, nature worlds, and the Shifters in the RuneSpan. Nature runes are used for alchemy spells - the changing of states associated with Bik. Presumably, the Shifters are related to that. But then the nature worlds full of plantlife are also associated with Bik, and nature runes are also used in plant-related spells (Rapid Growth, Remote Farm, Fertile Soil, plus the vine-like animation of the bind spells). So what is up?
Are nature runes, plantlife, and the changing of states (alchemy) meant to be intrinsically connected through association with Bik?

What's the extent of firearm technology in the universe of RuneScape
(INCLUDING outside of Gielinor - namely,
Teragard and other human colonies
)? We know the Eastern Lands have muskets (Musketeers from the Skull region in Ports), the dwarves have automatic cannons and hand-cannons, and the Imcando dwarves developed pistols. With the advent of the Invention Guild, I'd imagine firearms are en route to becoming a bit more common -- in universe, not necessarily in game.
