I thought that was a bit odd also... but there are probably actual Npc's who thought Zaros was a 'dread lord' and it was 'cool' to follow him because of that... sort of

Thank you as well, though I'd like to make two small corrections:
1. It's not my poem, I just "rewrote" a good old Christmas classic.
2. My name is actually AllarLa, not Allaria.

Discussing this on a bit more serious note, I think the keyword of that carving is mortal . The Mahjarrat and the demons were definately not in that category and I think the rest was thought to be low enough to be "excluded" from the grace of Zaros.

Plus, that tablet was carved after Zamorak's rise to power, as it mentions "Zamorak the pretender" iirc. So its probably meant to strike fear into any loyal to Zammy or Sara should they enter the temple by making Zaros seem big, dreadful, and as if he's hiding behind a curtain.
And of course Azzanadra is disappointed that nobody has been caroling with traditional Zarosmas holiday songs. Joy to the Majarrat and We Wish You a Godly Zarosmas . Newest Disciple of Xau-Tak
