Bad intentions followed by bad actions will always be worse than Good intentions followed by bad actions ;)

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.

So deep. But, of course. I disagree. :p

The Pharaoh before him was the former, and Osman is very much the latter. Neither perfect, but one is better than the other. :P
Only in a moral/ethical sense. Practically, they're the exact same. Also, how is the Pharaoh the former when it's been established that the source of his actions was Amascut's corruption and not his own intentions?

Corrupted or not, he still acted out of malice during his time as Pharaoh. Yes very unfortunate, but nobody is going to forgive and forget "Oh if he were only himself at the time!"

Which makes him the former, regardless if people like that or not. :p

Except the malice wasn't his. It seems he was completely possessed, based on his dialogue in 'Phite Club. So if the intentions weren't his, then his actions weren't either. I'd forgive him, or at least give him a chance to improve Menaphos' situation, since there's evidence for him being a capable leader before Amascut intervened.

If they still expect me to be on Osman's side after he stabbed an innocent and kicked me out of the throne room they have another thing coming.

I would literally rather have Jabari up there than him right now.

The Pharaoh got a raw deal. I honestly don't feel he deserved a "punishment" at all.

I went with the exile and he had this really touching speech about how he'd willingly move to the Arc and try to help them from afar if he could. Seemed like a swell guy. I would've put him back on as Pharaoh if we could somehow ensure he doesn't just become Amascut corrupted again.

Osman is a crappy Pharaoh, according to the PQD and Senliten, yes, but he is the true Pharaoh, and we have to respect him as if he was the president.

He'll get no respect from me. My first reaction was to grab that gnomish dyed toad launcher to vigorously pelt him from afar. If Trump was only the president due to some long dead familial connection and by unlawfully assassinating Obama I'd have the same reaction. Complete with the toads.

Hey guys, remember the last time on RuneScape a rightful king resorted to morally questionable methods to take back the throne that had been usurped from his ancestor?

I agree 100% with Raleirosen, btw.

That one didn't have our help.

(Unless we're talking about Veldaban, who was getting pretty awful by the end too. I barely recognized him.)

1) Had Leela take the throne.
2) March in there and take it ourselves.
3) Allow Al Kharid or Sophanem to send in a replacement.
4) Just kill the Pharaoh and let the chips fall where they may

1) If we could get through to him we could possibly convince him to allow the first one. It'll take a royal concussion of an event to get it out of his head that HE has to be in charge though, it's clearly something he's obsessively focused on. Still, maybe saving him from Amascut's schemes a time or two could loosen that grip.

2/3/4) I certainly don't think the four districts would agree to another coup so soon. They depend on the city's stability for their livelihood. Shifting through rulers like Game of Thrones does not a stable civilization make.
