I have heard from many players that Bandos switched sides during the Godwars to make battles last longer. Does anyone have the original source for this?
Crap i know i heard this one somewhere, for somereason im thinking it was either a live stream or campfire, it might also have been Mod John As post awhile back about the history of Bandos
It wasn't in his post about history of Bandos, assuming you mean the one posted on August 7, 2013. This is all he said about the God Wars:
Original message details are unavailable.
Bandos takes part in the God Wars, using his followers already on Gielinor. Maybe he brings in reinforcements from Yu'biusk, but he doesn't depopulate Yu'biusk. The war in Gielinor now takes up most of his attention, but he continues to rule in Yu'biusk as well.
This is quite old information, as it was put to unofficial RS-wiki in 2008. I don't think there were any live streams at the time.

Goblin armies fight very good! When other gods see this, they very jealous. So they say, We want goblins to fight for us too! So Big High War God take some tribes and sell them, one to God of Shiny Light and one to God of Dark Fire, and other tribes to other gods. But most still worship Big High War God who created them!

Why is Bork still alive after completion of The Mighty Fall?
Obviously there are gameplay reasons for Bork's presence in the game, but why did Graardor spare him? In every other round of the tournament involving two npc's, the loser was killed. It's not very Bandosian to allow the loser to live. Zarador even emphasizes the point by stating that he's never heard a Bandosian ask if he could spare his opponent afterward. And we're talking about General Graardor here. From what we know, he isn't by any means a merciful exception to the rule.
The strength of the pack is the wolf and the strength of the wolf is the pack.

I always took Bork as undead and that the Dagon'hai were using necromancy to constantly bring him back to fight us. I have not done the new quest though so idk.

Balustan- might I ask for an opinion answer? What I have in mind really ought not to cause faction bashing: it's more of a technicality.
When Zaros says the Mahjarrat would be his princes, what meaning of the word was he using? Of course, there's meaning we use now, which is the son of a king or queen. I've also seen it used as an outdated blanket term for "ruler". The latter seems more sensible to me, but what do you guys think?
Princes and princess aren't necessarily sons and daughters of kings and queens, i believe if you marry into the family you become one of the two, you can never become king or queen tho, you have to be born of royal blood. I assume what he meant was that they would inherit the kingdom much like a son in law would, they obv would never become the real ruler, that is for Zaros.
If you marry in you can be King and Queen. King is less common but it is possible. (I looked this up recently due to something else) I assume it is in the royal sense if he considers them brothers almost and for it to be an Empire Zaros himself was both King and Emperor.

Goblin book
I found that too, but it still doesn't say that Bandos himself switched sides or that he tried to make battles longer by supporting the weaker side.

I believe that the FAQ stated that Zarador stopped the fight before he was killed as he did not want to play a role in the killing of a member of an endangered species knowing one day his race will be extinct. I'll look for the FAQ, it is around somewhere but they unstickyed it.

Why is he alive after I killed him?
Our Lord Zamorak has power over life and death! He has seen fit to resurrect Bork to continue his great work.
They addressed this on the mighty fall FAQ too. I believe it was Mod Jack who said that this is purely a gameplay feature but he was interested in putting a lore reason to it and explaining why he is so big. Low priority though so don't expect it soon.
