Since the Chantli/Mazcab thing was a debate for some reason: The spirit guardian in Call of The Ancestors outright says that Mazcab and Chantli are one and the same. Not that it wasn't obvious before that.

They call it Mazcab now because, due to the damage Tuska did to it, they no longer recognize it as Chantli
-
I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

Im legitimately confused, how did people know they had to use the orb on the blood altar within 2 minutes? Did they use trial and error for days on end, using the orb on everything, until something happened?

I've always wondered how people discover things like this... Are there people dedicated to using every possible item on everything?
NO
I do not ship ZamorakxZaros.
I follow them. And Marimbo, the best t5 god.

Larger population if you notice often leads to larger variation. There will always be somebody better than you the more dense the population or somewhere in that crowd. You don't see the top ones unless you meet them personally by chance. Its how stuff like that often works. In an area with a situation like that the higher the pop, the faster the secret will be found. Its interesting.

Makes sense. But regardless it just seems so strange, Mod Raven claimed this to be the "easier method". Wonder what the hard method was like. I can move past using it on the blood altar, but how did people know they had to use it on it in 2 minutes? Was there like a timer? A notification? If there wasn't it baffles me since people could have used it on everything, not knowing they had to continuously re use it on the statue and then something else if the timer was gone.

I always assumed that a Mod "leaked" some kind of information to a select number of players while in game, who in turn used that information to find out where to go. Because to think that somebody went and used an orb on every. single. item. until they found it react to something, that's just nuts.

I'd like to think that it might be tied with the mysterious Sixth Elder God.

Minor The Light Within spoilers:
Apparently, dialogue tied to The Light Within has Zaros say "It was easy enough to find the memories when you look carefully enough. Six of them, five of form and one of ... something else."

I'd like to back up my theory that this sixth Elder God made it to Gielinor with some dialogue from Azzanadra related to Heart of Stone and the fifth, unused Lumbridge mouthpiece chamber.

Heart of Stone:
"Perhaps it is the chamber of Mah, which makes little sense seeing as she never arrived here. But then again it could be for...no, enough speculation."

As a final point in my theory, to tie it all together, is some dialogue tied to use of the Orb itself in its Vibrating state:

???: Return to where it all began...

Theory breakdown and reuse of above spoilers:
Basically, I'd like to think that the fact that the Sixth Elder God is incorporeal would be why its Mouthpiece chamber is empty beneath Lumbridge. Though this doesn't explain a lack of Elder Chronicle at the site, it does fit in with ties to the Orb, as Lumbridge is where all of our adventures began, at least until the Ashdale Tutorial dumped new players off in Taverley.

So, in summary, I think that the Strange Glowing Orb is communicating with the incorporeal Sixth Elder God, whose particulars are unknown to us, which could lead to explanations on any number of other mysteries on this front.

If I'm right, that would be awesome, but who knows with Mod Ramen. Just my two cents, after all.

Yeah just like with the titles in Prifddinas and Beach Party. They will try just about everything to find it. It is like that with most video games.

It was said that ??? would be revealed in River of Blood, but that might be the mystery person we talked to in the quest. We currently have 2 ??? in the game.
Come the Sixth-Age, the world will need the World Guardian.

I think i may have cracked the case here.... 1. Return to where it all began... For most, this is no-brainer lumbridge, so i went to where i did my first quest, the Lumbridge Graveyard. 2.Be still Reminas... I stood in certain places, yet nothing. 3. What a strange creature, so fragile Fragile, first thought is [i]Cave Goblin...[i] so i went there nothing 4. You are...unworthy Do i need to have completed all the quests? Maybe maxed out? Or have the measure? 5. Do you not see it? Do you not see me? Nothing environmentally changed... So to conclude, certain reqs may have to be filled to be, 'worthy' and to see 'it' so i may have this think this through...
