Anyway, I still don't see the need to give ownership to anyone else.

You guys keep talking about vauge concepts like inactivity, leadership, and "issues"- but I would really appreciate a concrete reason we need someone online more often, who can permaban people and solve general on general disputes- to my knowledge, we don't. As Hazeel already said, we can temp ban people already- and when generals cooperate and stay online, that's just as good really as a permaban- and general on general disputes are very uncommon and almost always brief and kept out of the fc in general.

I think when some people--not all of them--say that Dethal needs to be more active...they mean he needs to start perma banning people at the drop of a hat. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

No. Your post referenced the interpersonal issue, which is not something that needs Dethal's input at all.

If two (or more) FC members are at odds, that's their problem. If it spills over into the chat, generals have the ability to shut it down. If the issue is a recurring one, that just makes it easier to spot and take immediate action (i.e. you can skip the warnings and just ban). Our job as generals isn't to resolve disputes, but to moderate the chat.

From what I know of the specific incident in question, I doubt that Dethal's raw charisma/ability to permaban would've been of any help. Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.

I have to echo Rally here- I see no reason this issue (once it became a serious issue) couldn't have been solved by generals, and no way in which if it wasn't, the owner being involved would've helped. "We call it being a hero"
