Never understood that mentality....what's the point of having a lore chat (FC or CC) if you don't allow spoilers during quest release? It's like "Hey, let's only allow lore discussion when everyone's done discussing it and there's nothing to discuss anymore." Asinine.

Agreed, and it's also more fun to discuss the quest in detail while mods are in the chat. We never had a no spoiler rule until DAT because some people complained about it, but it's not that hard to leave the chat and then come back once you've completed the quest.

It doesn't really matter. Spoilers on day 1 or 2 are douchey. In all the games I've played, there's been a 48 hour grace period of spoiler-free talk unless it's in private.

Loads of people finish new quests on day 1 or 2, you want them not to talk about it in a lore fc? Look, don't get me wrong, some have a no spoiler policy (eg. The Scrying Pool sometimes). But 1) *Assuming* its the policy without good reason is your problem, and 2) It's not that big of a deal to avoid a fc for a day. When the Scrying Pool does it, they mute the cc, which is the equivalent of no one being in a chat. I'm too Unaligned to have a forum signature.

Not if people are just trying to discuss the content in the LORE FC. The obvious solution is to avoid it until you've played the quest if you don't want it to be spoiled for you.

Mod Stu intends to be in the chat for River of Blood's release day. Please note that the chat will NOT be spoiler-free. If you do not want to see spoilers, avoid the chat until you have completed the quest.

I'm going to be starting up a RS chronicle tournament, my aim is to get around 10 players to participate. A cash prize of 5 million GP will be given to the winner... Let me know if you want to sign up, either on this thread or in-game!

1) Can't believe we didn't even get the choice to kill Vanescula. -_-

2) What do you guys think the best blood essence is?
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Why did you want to kill her in the first place?

Differences are finally being settled and a proper negotiated peace can finally come to Morytania that will benefit both parties, given time.

That's a much better outcome than murder for murders sake.

She's a sadistic, childlike tyrant and a poor leader who would seek to repress her people's identity. Differences have not been settled. Peace has not been negotiated. She was forced into this because she had no choice. It was either accept the terms or die.

Honestly, I'd be all for vyres being granted freedom, but as equals, not overlords. If they want to hunt, then so be it. I only had issue with the sadistic farming. And honestly, Vanescula doesn't seem to have much of a control over her subjects....or else she's too unwilling, which is just as likely.

Not to mention that Safalaan won't last forever. This is just a band-aid fix at most. ...Although I do have to question how this is solving the issue. What, vyres take a potion and now they no longer need food? They can just survive on air now?

...Also, why would humans stay here?

EDIT: ...I kinda wanna kill Efaritay and Safalaan too, but I'll admit this is just due to my general bloodlust and annoyance at seeing dead races constantly coming back.
