As fallable as my god is, Saradomin is much like a Paladin in fiction. While many would blame Saradomin for his misdeeds, never in his life he did something outright malicious for the sake of power (as in sacrificing followers for rituals and plans that ended up fruitless like Bandos and most of the children of Mah, Zaros included). Made poor judgement calls like any Paladin did at somepoint, but willing to admit to his faults without trying to pretend it will absolve him completely even after earning the right to forgiveness from those he failed at first. If he was born a divine being, then I would think much less of him since divine gods of good and order are infallible beings. But he is merely a Paladin who became a deity, I think this strip will make good explanation of what Saradomin is aiming to be like.

As idealistic as Armadyl is, his own proclaimation about being a Phoenix god is unproven. He has yet to learn gods like Zamorak and Zaros are more deceptive than Bandos ever was, or how uncaring the Elder Gods are to his people, seeing them as petty flies that is going to be devoured. I still hold him in respect but Armadyl is unproven in a crisis that provides no ideal answer. Saradomin has known too well about previous god wars to know that a god's hand will remain innocent and there will be mistakes made. And when Armadyl is forced to resolve a crisis in which one group will blame him, how will he handle it?
