The Sixth Age has had plenty of interesting ideas, but in many cases the execution has been lacking.
First off, I would have handled the whole 5th Age/6th Age division the same way the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time handled its two eras: with two versions of the overall game world map set in different eras. And the player would be able to freely travel between the two eras as much as they like. Therefore, we wouldn't have the incongruity of 5th Age quests being set against 6th Age backdrops. The H.A.M. HQ would still be under the ruins in the forest between Lumbridge and Draynor in the 5th Age, and H.A.M. would be severely impacted by the whole crater thing in the 6th Age, with a division among the surviving H.A.M. members.
This would also allow more changes in the world in the 6th Age that otherwise would have messed things up and made things unavailable.
Also, the second World Event between Armadyl and Bandos wouldn't have been to the instant death. It would have ended with Bandos being wounded, and the followup quest would deal with his fate. Would some Bandosian attempt to become the new Big High War God? Of course Zanik would get involved, and she'd probably attempt to reform one faction of the Bandosians, but there wouldn't be that insane choice like The Mighty Fall.
Xenia wouldn't have been derailed and done away with just because some J-Mod didn't like her, as in Heart of Stone. She'd still play a part in the whole main story, but also have important information about the Eastern islands and Shanomi's homeland. Oh, and if she DID die, she'd be reincarnated as a cat and her cat form would be there in every Xenia place, including Signature Heroes meetings (this being foreshadowed by her dialogue about the Tail of Two Cats quest).
There would be more Armadyl content, where we learn more about the Aviansie and Armadyl's followers and their beliefs and customs. (continued)
