Not to add fire to the flames, but I figured I'd just ask this here rather than start a whole thread over it: Why are people still supporting Zaros' plan? The whole point of the plan was to talk with the Elders and establish diplomancy. That failed. The argument in favor of supporting such a poor plan was that it was that "A poor plan is better than no plan."
OK so what's the deal now? While Zaros was off sulking like a child because Auntie Jas didn't raise his allowance,
we
actually managed to establish diplomacy. If it wasn't obvious from the fact that Zaros wasn't even trying to be diplomatic and was just straight up making demands, he wasn't interested in saving Gielinor. He just wants to ascend. And what does anyone have to gain from ANOTHER anima sucking monster coming in being, complicating things, requiring more sacrifice, and pissing off the Elders, causing our diplomatic efforts to fail?
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.
