2.3.3) Battles in Kandarin

¤ The
Battle of Ardougne
took place when a human mob led by the Carnillean family invaded the home of the Zamorakian Mahjarrat warlord Hazeel in 5.7. He had taken precautions however, ensuring he would enter a state of torpor rather than die if defeated. The Saradominists managed to indeed defeat Hazeel, thus taking over the lands he own. The city of Ardougne, governed by the Carnilleans, was subsequently allowed to be constructed.

¤ Around 1940 of the Fourth Age, the Thorobshuun goblin tribe clashed with the army of the Tree Gnome Stronghold, who were advancing south after the elves had left as a result of the Great Divide, at the
Battle of Atarisundri
. King Healthorg, who led the gnomish forces with Oaknock, Glouphrie and Hazelmere, would have been defeated by the more numerous goblins if not for his illusionist's trick. Glouphrie cast a spell that created the illusion of an entire army of tortoises, to which the goblins fled in terror, leaving the gnomes victorious without any combat having taken place at all.

¤ As the eleven surface goblin tribes were driven to one place, near what is now Hemenster, mid-Fourth Age due to events such as the Feldip Hills Civil War, resources and living space began to diminish, to which the goblins engaged in a free-for-all (tribe-wise) battle that lasted days. The heavy rain turned the ground into mud, earning the
Battle of the Plain of Mud
its name. Bandos, who was watching from Yu'biusk, enjoyed the battle, but became desparate when he saw the goblins would fight each other to extinction.

While the tribes were in their camps, he discovered that Hopespear, a Narogoshuun goblin, was looking at him through his Pool of Visions, and he communicated with him, asking him to stop the battle and making up a story about a Chosen Commander, as well as providing him his commandments. Hopespear obeyed and ended the battle, after which a temple was built on the battlefield, which sank through the mud.

¤ Three years into the Dreaded Years of Tragedy, the people of Ardougne finally got enough of the Zamorakians north of the city and launched an attack in 98. The two armies met and
The Great Battle
took place at the Outpost. It is said that but one man on each side survived, who happened to be old friends. They settled their difference and became Guthixian, ending the battle.

¤ At an unspecified date described as "centuries ago", the Mother Mallum emerged from the sea with an army of sea slugs. She had commenced her plans to possess the important political figures of the world and thus rule it in motion, much like she had on other realms, was fought by the Temple Knights in the
Sea Slug Crusade
. They suffered massive losses, losing many men to Mother Mallum's mind control, whom she took with her to her base of operation: a large submarine citadel. The few knights that had escaped the slugs proceeded to devise a method to remove the possession, which succeeded - albeit with great effort, before forming a plan to stop her - the Temple Knights then launched their crusade although they soon realised they would not be able to kill her. Instead, they lured her into a cave and trapped her before magically sealing the cave with a door using modified runestones. Her army then retreated to the bottom of the sea.

2.3.4) Battles in Morytania and the Eastern Sea

¤ {H}aving had enough of the Customs and Excise Office's campaign against piracy due to Rabid Jack's actions, the pirates of Mos Le'Harmless sailed their fleet to the Cursed Archipelago itself in order to get rid of him once and for all. They would prove victorious in the ensuing
Battle of the Cursed Archipelago
, as Jack's ships fell one by one. Eventually, a cannonball fired from Brass Hand Harry's ship by Young Ralph hit Jack's flagship This Albatross , killing his boatswain, Giles, and grievously injuring the captain himself. The captains of the Pirate Council boarded and forced him to surrender, to which he took his treasure chest and jumped overboard, ending the battle.

¤ In the late Fifth Age, the pirate captain 'Rabid' Jack laid siege on the pirate port Mos Le'Harmless, wishing to conquer the island, and by extent the Eastern Sea, for himself. The pirates resisted the attack, however, and managed to drive off Jack's fleet, not least due to Gentleman Mallard's leadership which lead them successfully through the
Battle of Mos Le'Harmless
.

¤ The
Fall of Hallowvale
was Lord Lowerniel Vergidiyad Drakan's invasion of Hallowvale, the Hallowed Land: an Icyenic and human kingdom founded approximately 820 years prior, named after its Queen, Efaritay Hallow. Details of the initial struggle for the kingdom are unavailable, but it appears Drakan systematically invaded the country and eventually reached the capital in the south-east. The vampyre overlord succeeded in capturing Queen Efaritay's beloved husband Ascertes. In order to save him, she surrendered and attended to him, to which Drakan took over Hallowvale's greatest city, splitting it in two parts. The fates of Efaritay and Ascertes remain uncertain, but he it is rumoured that he did order one of his closest agents, Vanstrom Klause, to find and kill Efaritay's son Safalaan.

¤ Around the middle of the Third Age, the
Morytania Campaign
was launched to liberate the former Icyenic kingdom of Hallowvale from Drakan and his vampyres. It was led by the Barrows Brothers, who had just helped in Saradomin's campaign to conquer the lands west of the River Salve. The six brothers were supplied with magical armour and weaponry by a shadowy stranger, the Zarosian Mahjarrat Sliske, that boosted their powers and abilities immensely. The campaign fared successfully up 'till The Great Vyre Wall around Meiyerditch, where they stopped to rest. It was then that the six brothers died, however, and Sliske claimed their souls for himself to serve as his wights. They were buried in six tombs connected by a series of tunnels and crypts beneath what is now known as the Barrows. The army then retreated, leaving Morytania.

2.3.5) Battles in the Kharidian Lands

Between 3000 and 4000 of the Third Age, Zamorak's demonic forces led the
Kharidian Desert Campaign
. Around roughly 3650, the forces of the Tsutsaroth demon Thammaron fought the Menaphite and golem forces in the
Battle of Uzer
. The golems defended the city well, but {T)hammaron opened a passage from his throne room in Infernus beneath the city, which allowed the demons to attack it from the inside. The Zamorakian Mahjarrat Pal*eera, in charge of protecting his flank, was grievously wounded in battle and died after retreating into the Shadow Realm. Nevertheless, Uzer fell as a result, but its elite golems managed to sufficiently wound Thammaron that he later died in his throne room. Meanwhile, the forces of Balfrug Kreeyath, an Alyaroth demon, easily triumphed in the
Battle of Ullek
as the great city of Ullek was obliterated.

2.3.6) Battles in the Wilderness

¤ In 3100 of the Third Age, Saradominist and Zamorakian forces fought one another at the
Battle of Annakarl
, which ended with the destruction of the formerly Zarosian fortress. During the battle, the demon K'ril Tsutsaroth, leader of the Zamorakians, defeated the icyene Saint Zilyana, commander of the Saradominists, after which the god of order himself rescued and healed her.

¤ Around 3700 of the Third Age, the massed armies of Saradomin and Zamorak besieged Senntisten. In spite of Wahisietel's attempts to prevent their invading, the forces attacked. As priest-king Dagroda ordered the evacuation, the city was taken over, ending the
Battle of Senntisten
swiftly. The city was not destroyed but taken over by Zamorakians. Less than a century later, however, it was levelled by Saradominists nonetheless.

¤ One night in approximately 1770 of the Fourth Age, a gang of unspecified men entered the farm of the Bonde family in the Wilderness. Its owner Erik and his young daughter Summer were tortured and killed, as were two of the farmhands, Jallek Lenkin and Meranek Thanatos. Only Gargon, who had been on an errand during the assassination, survived the
Bonde Farm Massacre
, and buried his friends' bodies in the cave where Erik's wife Jennica had also been buried. Unfortunately, they did not pass on to the Grim Underworld because the monstrous Spirit Beast trapped them in the Spirit Realm and captured their souls.

2.3.7) Battles in other places

¤ Towards the end of the God Wars, Armadyl, Bandos and Saradomin allied to end Zamorak once and for all. They created a weapon that would be able to kill him: the godsword. As a flock of aviantese, who had forged the blade, were transporting it over the mountains of the Troll Country, however, a group of Zamorak's demons attacked, to which the Armadylians fled into the Temple of Lost Ancients. More troops of all four gods soon arrived, beginning the
Battle for the Godsword
as all sides soon enough turned against each other in order to obtain the sword. Not long after, the Zarosian Mahjarrat Sliske tricked a group of Saradominists into releasing Nex from her prison, to successfully re-imprison whom the four factions temporarily allied, after which the battle continued once more.

¤ When the God Wars began at the start of the Third Age, the army of Nex, a powerful Zarosian general, attempted to secure the Mahjarrat Ritual Site. Saradominist troops attacked, however, starting the
Battle for the Ritual Site
. While outnumbered, the Zarosians were more powerful. Therefore the Saradominists lured Nex and her army into an icy cave, where they were magically sealed in a cave. The Temple of Lost Ancients was subsequently built over this prison to mark the victory.

¤ In the early 160s of the Fifth Age, Supreme Commander Bisi of the Black Guard sent Colonel Grimsson's regiment to deal with the mountain trolls, who had been attacking miners. The
Battle of Barendir
ensued, which proved disastrous as the trolls killed hundreds of dwarves throwing rocks from behind their barricades and attacking from side tunnels. However, Grimsson burst through the trolls' defences and personally fought their leader, Dwarf Bone. The troll surrendered, but the berserk colonel killed him anyway, whilst fighting his own men. He kept battling the retreating trolls once the cave had been secured and then wounded some of his own men until Lieutenant Veldaban had him apprehended.

¤ King Baxtorian's five-year-campaign to defeat the Iorwerth Clan, which ended in 1935 of the Fourth Age, and reconquer Prifddinas culminated in the
Siege of Prifddinas
. Despite the Cadarns' military prowess, the Iorwerths defended the city and warded off the attack.

The siege started when Lord Iorwerth ironically demanded that Baxtorian's kingdom be split amongst the eight clans, after which the Cadarns, realising the city's crystal walls could not be breached, besieged it. Prifddinas could not be starved, however, and the Iorwerth scouts gradually wore down the army. An elite squad then snuck into the city, released the six other clan leaders, and they reverted the city to a seed, stored in the sealed Grand Library.

The defeated Cadarn Clan then return to their empire east of the Galarpos, which had been reported to be in ruins. Glarial taken, Baxtorian constructed a memorial for her and disappeared. In Isafdar, Lletya was soon founded.

¤ In 65 of the Fifth Age, a group of Byzroth attacked the entrance to TzHaar City, crafted by TzHaar-Hur-Bol, and destroyed it. The
Battle of TzHaar City
began when the sole present guardsman, TzHaar-Ket-Kad, retaliated. He managed to push back the demons, successfully defending the city.
