Saradomin may have found himself in conflict with the seven magistrates of Terragard for one reason or another, perhaps even before he ascended. If the political tides turned against him, I can see why he would leave.

There are a million and one scenarios for his abandonment of the humans on Terragard -- not one of which can be proven. I don't see why this is even a thing.

The thing was him leaving at all. What was being debated about was whether he left as a few people didn't think he did. At that time there was only mentions of a jmod quote. It most likely seemed like peeps were making crap up about Saradomin. Now that we have all the quotes its much better.

I think we're forgetting about the part before Mod Osborne said he abandoned humans where he said he started to favor "better" races and the part before that which said he lead military incursions on other planes. As much as I don't want to sound like CD_Paladin_C, it sounds like he took the more battle-hearty races with him and left humans behind solely so he could expand his territory (and perhaps provide more places for humans to colonize).

Why would you take inferior soldiers over to other planes when it would cause less victories for him (thus less victories for humans), and more deaths for humans?

I don't see how this can really be interpreted as anything other than him being the pragmatic protector god that we choose to follow.

Still, what I'm concerned about is how militaristic it makes Saradomin look to seemingly abandon humanity in favor of stronger races that are better at fighting as I can only imagine what CD_Paladin_C and company would do with this information.

I don't see why you should be concerned. Zaros was the same essentially and he was older than Saradomin when he acted so militaristically. I think what's more important to see the point he reconnected with humans and the point his views on humanity changed. Maybe multiple points actually because when he came to Gielinor humans had runes and so were more useful in a militaristic sense but later he could have seen real value in them besides that.

That is only one of the quotes though.

As I've already said, it could be that there are several reasons for Saradomin leaving some of the colonies to their free will.

It does seem quite obvious he did lead incursions to other planes and whatnot, as far back as his early ascension (Naragi and all that).
