From 2013 forward, Jmods frequently interacted with the lore community and released information about lore. Between April 2013 and November 2013, Mod Osborne held 13 Above the Lore podcasts on Runezone fansite with special lore-y Jmods every week, and a revival of Chaos Elemental hints. After this, possibly due to worries that too much lore was being given away, Jmods toned down on how often they released information about lore. Nonetheless, Jmod lore discussion continued, mostly in Podbeam, but also Youtube and later on Twitch. In 2013-2014 but still occasionally today, Jmods shared lore knowledge on Reddit, Twitter, on the ORSF and ingame. Mod Jack was one of the most active Jmods in the TSP and Lore FC chats (occurrences of which stopped in 2015), who is also known for his unfinished comic, The Empty Throne.
Overall, the lore community had mixed reactions to the Sixth Age. Some had praised the depth and focus on story and lore, and argued that the quests had drastically improved. Others were dissapointed, either because they did not like the Sixth Age, or they thought that it had been handled poorly, in addition to feeling Gods and Elder Gods undermined the importance of other series.
Some other points of contention included whether whether Jagex was giving too much lore information away (specifically about mahjarrat, gods, elder gods and the like), whether quests could give adequate and meaningful choices (especially in the context of factions), whether the Sixth Age was moving too quickly or two slowly, whether World Events were being done correctly (one strong outcry players had was the death of Bandos, and the way it was executed), and the lack of certain requirements for some quests released early on (such as Missing Presumed Death and Fate of the Gods).
I'm too Unaligned to have a forum signature.
