Well for one, have you seen my character? There's the looks reason right there.
And I also like to make a connection between Ilujanka & Dragon with my own character being a Drakewing with a Fire Drake. A Dragon Rider and a Drake Rider.
Also my character desperately wants to help the Ilujanka save their race ever since meeting Hannibus so there's another reason for Vindicta ship.
I also like to imagine whenever I fight Vindincta in game it's more of a sparring match to improve our battle skills than a fight to the death. (We both always come back anyway so it works out
)
That's basically how I consider boss fights against bosses on your side to be in universe--that they're testing your mettle to improve both of your skills in battle! And you're right, it is a fitting option for a draconic/reptilian being... ~
