Sliske uses the Staff of Armadyl on you, and seems to be reading your soul (which I think he took a bit of). Before he realizes you've seen his big secret and goes nuts, he mentions "Your feelings for Zanik", which was an interesting surprise to hear from Sliske.


This should make for an interesting addition to the shipping wars.
What was your choice at the end of Mighty Fall, if you don't mind my asking? Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.

As a decent person with a strong moral character, it shouldn't be too surprising that

I spared Zanik. She was our long time friend that we had so many adventures with, why on Earth would I kill her? She wanted to live, so why do that?


So, it goes without saying in Nomad's Elegy that

I convinced her to give life a second chance, and we can now hang out at Soul Wars.


I hope there's some post-quest content where you can talk to her about this, that'd be neat.

I completed the quest as well, and despite killing Zanik in TMF Sliske still mentions the line -- so it's definitely not contingent on past decisions.

I don't exactly appreciate it since I never really cared much for Zanik; great character, a decent ally/acquaintance, but nothing approaching even "close friend" territory. But oh well, doesn't impact much either way. Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.

But in Nomad's Elegy, you can say you feel the same about Brand/Astrid. Yet this quest mentions our feelings for Zanik... Wow. There's some complicated feelings going on here. And the worst part is, they're both dead. Man, our character's actually got a couple "tragic loves lost" under their belt. That proves it; We're real adventurers now.

And actually, I was about to lament how both of these together kind of muscle out my SarahxPlayer ship, but... *They're both dead*.

(Except for Zanik, who depending on choices is kind of still around)

Well sliske already attempted to do that undead thing but we are protected by indestructable plot armour. Also known as world guardian status, "It is not our time" or just some irrelevant side character jumping in front of us. NO
