I dont have anything better to play, so I guess I'll still be around when the series wraps up, which is kind of depressing in itself. Does anyone think that the Ariane quests could give us an answer to the blood altar origin controversy?

Yes, I think I'll still play when the Myreque ends. Even if I stop being a member I'll buy membership every once in a while to do quests, and especially the Myreque quests.
About Ariane, I doubt they'd get into that, but maybe they can explain how the Barbarians got into Zanaris to destroy the Cosmic Altar :P

Ok, here's what I got from the livestream that pertains to this thread:
Vyre homeworld is called Vampyrium, the Drakans are original vampyres from this world
There are very few original vyres left
Vyrewatch is an occupation, not a stage in development
Most vyres nowadays have been converted from other races
NPCs are not always trustworthy sources of lore (I think we debated this a little while ago when discussing one of Vertidas comments)
The nature of the Icyene will be specific to the morytania series
Daeylt is residual from the Stone of Jas
They glanced over the blood altar stuff, maybe they'll get into that in the next stream

So, Daeylt IS from the Stone of Jas. That actually might break the blood altar theory completely.
Conclusions:
1) The Stone Drakan is 'obsessed over' is probably Jas
2) The Haunted Mine was an initial attempt to find Daeylt ores
I'm too Unaligned to have a forum signature.

Huh, just now found this new version. Profiled, then.
I didn't catch much of the livestream, but those new bits are interesting. The fact that Daeyalt is residual from the Stone of Jas could help tie in the series with the greater narrative of the game, although I imagine people would prefer if the series were its own thing.
