Now I think the edicts quest is coming since they are hinting at this huge god stuff next year so the edicts need to be done. There is a massive quest hinted for beginning of next year.
So who better to make that quest than the Myreque curator?
Edit: The edicts better not be forgotten for next year. Even if some J Mod could assure us they are not.

A quest about the Edicts... Can we whack their heads for doing nothing, or how about put a bucket of water/tar on top of a door, and wait for one of them to come in and *splash*. Better yet, put them all on a large trap door and pull the lever, and into a Monkey Pit; the funny part, the monkey's are starving. Quest title, "Edictive Pranks"! > :)

Hang on a minute, is that why Tutorial Island is getting deleted? The Edicts of Guthix are going to be there, the spot which seems to be the center of Runescape?
