When asked about how it was made and how it came into being, Ivandis had always simply commented, "Of Sil(cb)vthril and exact dimensions is the item constructed. After enchantments that come from the magic of man can it be placed in our lord Saradomin's holy water, where magical blessings will 'He' commit to it."

It is not clear why he should hide such important details in such incoherent ramblings. Suffice to say that many artisans have tried recreating this holy relic in a bid to supply adventurous types keen of restoring balance in Morytania. But alas this could not happen because the true dimensions of the relic are not accurately known. It is believed that this secret, along with the artefact, died with Ivandis and now lies sealed up in this tomb beneath Paterdomus, never to be seen again.

Another infuriatingly cryptic element which is the 'Balance' which Guthix has supposed to have invested in Ivandis, in the form of a potion. Once again his cryptic message does not help very much. "Gunthix's balance needs to be fed to those minions of darkness in order for the balance to be restored. And this task carrier out only when they are held Saradomin's power. For this to occur, one should supplement a common potion of bodily restoration with the essence of garlic and silver dust, the later being gained by the use of a strange machine in the tower to the north east of Morytania and in the hands of some ghostly beings."

Whatever the truth of all these details, it seems clear that Drakan is intent on staying. His authority in that region has never been challenged and perhaps arguably has grown over the centuries. Reports from the area are limited and vague so perhaps the truth is either far less, or far greater than me may currently comprehend.

In any event, it is clear that some strategy should be forthcoming if Drakan's evil minions should once again try to spread into Misthalin. It is believed, perhaps in error, that Paterdomus will stand forever as a silent guardian against the power of Morytania.

Perhaps one day we will see a redress of the evil that Drakan has brought to Morytania, and well will get to witness first hand the bounteous riches and wholesome living that be had in that land once called 'Hallowvale'

Leather book (An ancient leather-bound tome)

Modern day Morytania.

Welcome dear reader to this tome. I entrust that it will suit your enjoyment most amicably and perhaps in a scholarly pursuit, inform you of the manifest concerns alive in the land of Morytania.

The land known as Morytania is as dark and uninviting as Misthalin is light and welcoming. While the intention of the author is not to teach geography to its readership, some small amount of area description would perhaps shed useful light to the readership.

By far the most common entrance into Morytania is through the temple of Saradomin, herein after referred to as Paterdomus. It is located in lands known as Silvarea and is the site of the famous battle of the Salve. It is here that the seven brave priestly warriors stood shoulder to shoulder to defend Misthalin from the darkness.

Due east of Paterdomus is the wild and strangely populated village of Canifis. The citizens of this area are to be least trusted as many and innocent traveled there and has never returned. However, some of those who has sense enough to avoid the village did, on occasion, return from the evil lands to recount their stories, before being specially treated for diseased imaginings and fearfulness.

Northeasterly of Canifis is a most impressive, but dark Castle of no small stature, inside which one may find the very stuff of nightmares. It is best avoided in the author's opinion, as is much which resides in Morytania.

If one is to then make way through a most undesirable forest, infested with creatures of darkness, one may happen upon a ghostly sea port, all death and decomposition. Though the author cannot confirm it, adventurers returning from such a place remarked that for those of stout composition, well rendered faculties and a eye for profit could engage in meaningful work their and advance themselves.

Returning once again to Canifis, one would see a huge swathe of rotten, foul smelling and life-threatening marsh. These great tracts of land are called 'Mort Myre'; is the swamp of true terror. Within this dark, stench-ridden foulness lives a most disgusting creature known as the Ghast. Due in no small part to the confusing natured of the terrain and the lack of anything edible, many innocents have died in this place, starved to death with hunger. When such a soul lives no longer, its form takes on the most disgusting of appearances. It hungers and eats anything it can, waylaying travelers and consuming their food, leaving nothing but stinking rotten remains. If travelers have no food, it will extract life force from those it can to satiate its considerable hunger.

Few that have traveled through Mort Myre have returned to give details of what lies beyond. The author cannot rightly confirm the truth of what is reported here, but can simply transcribe it in the hope that one day the truth can be revealed.

It is south of Mort Myre that the traveler may venture upon a twisty and turning path which weaves around various large bodies of swamp water. To the south of this is said to be an ancient and evil mine. The path to this is difficult .to discover but apparently holds great wealth inside of it. But gentle reader, I beseech you, lay some value for your own life and leave this area to the doubtless evil creatures which prosper there on the lives of innocents in search of fame, fortune and glory.

To the East of the twisty turning path is a small village known as Mort'ton. Its inhabitants are both vile and deadly. Mort'ton is once said to have been a village making the focus of its living fromthe internment of important peoples into crypts beneath its rustic surface. Now the inhabitants long interred in their crypts walk the surface of the village and drain the life force of innocent and adventurer alike.

South of Mort'ton lies a larger but somewhat bedraggled township, long ago run into ruin. Its original name is lost, it is now mostly commonly referred to as "Burgh de Rott" and a most apt a name it is. All manner of ruined buildings litter this land. Some small token of civilization may have lived here a one point, but has long since vanished now.

Little is accurately known of the eastern side of Morytania except that is known as the 'Sanguinesti' region by those who inhabit it. Also feported is that the northern area is referred to as 'Darkmeyer' and the southern side is called, 'Meirditch'. Those lucky few who managed to escape this terrible place are few and far between, so this information is largely unconfirmed.

One final place which is worth a mention is the area to the east of Mort'ton, noted for its unusual appearance, three small hillocks are all that distinguish this place from the rest of the area.

And so dear reader, I have completed a brief and very unsure explanation of the geography of Morytania. Please excuse the author if further details prove to dispute all I have written here. This treatise is merely the accumulation of vague reports gained from travelers surviving Morytania and exiting Patradomus as they headed for the pleasanter lands of Misthalin. As example, it is reported that somewhere centrally located in the vastness of Morytania is a dark and dire castle said to be the home of Drakan, the lord of Morytania. Though this has yet to be confirmed.

Ancient book (A book about seven warrior priests, written about 200 years ago)

The Sleeping Seven.

Though little is known of the fourth age, especially in the land now known as Morytania, some small details of the dark time do yet remain. This work is as complete and account as can be mustered by the author. Its purpose is to straighten the times and tales of those would-be heroes buried under Paterdomus.

The datum here are vague at best and no truer gauge could be hardly best sought. The least hope of the lowly author herein lies; to recount what small morsels of truth remain in the minds of those that still live and entreat those very same to paper lest they forever be forgotten. With my rudimentary abilities I prevailed to update the place names of those dark times and instead use those which are in common use so as to give meaning where previously there was confusion.

Eight centuries and a score into the history of our land there came a darkness which fell about the land once called Hallowvale. The Queen of that sad time, and Icyene of once formidable power, became to be deposed by 'his-dark-self' and his hordes. Against all her considerable will she was forced to kneel and attend 'his-dark-self' in order that she might save her loving husband Ascertes.

The darkness which 'his-dark-self' brought with him at that time writhed though Hallowvale and wrought its way ever onwards into Misthalin. Through many men did slow its passage to what is now called Varrock, no did manage to halt its progress proper and many brave warriors to employed did die a most painful and lingering death.

Fearing the darkness would sweep Saradomin's glory from the land, some odd collection of priestly advocated and pious followers of brave virtue stood forwards to steel the hearts of the village fighters and town militias, the last defense against the evil now fresh from Hallowvale, and from that time till now called Morytania.

This collection of priestly valour did cast Saradomin's blessings upon the untrained and fearful fighters of Varrock and those of her outside villagers. This did raise bravery, courage and righteousness in the hears of these brave young Misthalain knights.

At long last it came the time that the rabble of the Misthalin defense started to bite and the tide of evil from Morytania became smash and torn on their pikes and staves. All caught courage form the seven priestly warriors whose names shall be disgorged forthwith.

(The list can be found on the front page of the thread.)

And with these seven priestly warriors all together committed to this act, the brought the furious intent of Saradomin's will and forced the evil tide from Morytania back into those very same dark lands. The fighting became fiercest at Salvarea and they stood side by side to prevent the evil from entering Misthalin again.

The very spot where Paterdomus now stands is near the final battle ground for the saving of Misthalin. The temple stands even now as a contentious reminder to those evil minions who would seek to wreak havoc in the land of Saradomin. As the priestly brothers and sisters fought on, some of them cast blessings into the Salve and sealed in it the vengeful power of Saradomin who would act at Misthalin's guardian against 'his-dark-self'.

Upon this foundation of holy power Paterdomus was built. Within it holy eminence the saintly remains of those seven priestly warriors, it is believed, now rest, though there is sometimes discord about one such burial. It was through happenstance that the author became aware of a document which I shall herin duplicate with any additions or omissions. It is said to be written by the brothers in arms of Ivandis Seergaze, the ever eager:-

'The resting place of Ivandis Seergaze of Lumbridge is easily missed for its simpleness and trivial appearance. In the midst of Mort Myre lies a long cavern running from North West to South East, with three caverns along the South Western wall and two caverns on the North Eastern. Ivandis was put to rest in the smaller of the two caverns along the North Eastern wall with his worldly possessions. Appropriate preparations were made to ensure the safety of his mortal remains and the cavern that formed his tomb was sealed up with boards. I, Keorgius Feryis, along with his many other brothers in arms did score marks into the sides of the wall next to the cavern in order to mark it out for later recovery and to deter possible intruders by making the marks look like those of some fearsome beast.'

Though I have made but preliminary and trepidatious journeys into Morytania thus far, the 'proposed' location of Ivandis' primitive tomb has evaded me. It is with the author's most delicate and humble of suggestions that this 'primitive' tomb be cast from the reader's mind as it is, in all likelihood, a trap made by evil minions to beguile the unwary into Morytania**

Movario’s Notes

--- ^+^ ---
"There is little that is easy to gain in the dark lands of Morytania, as Drakan still holds sway over his subjects.
Note: Return journey should be completed with considerable ammount of preparation"

[...]

"Interesting tomb of some ancient character hidden within Mort Myre: possibly one of the seven priestly warriors? Little time to look into this in any depth. Staff on coffin seems to be very detailed and made out of curious materials. Unfortunately, staff fused to the coffin, so could not liberate. Should return later with separation spell, in order to claim prize for myself. This place has a strange aura about it"

Decaying Tome (Found in the strange tomb under Burgh De Rott)

Page 1
"With -- gone I am weak.
My fellow -- spread and sparse.
Vampyrium --- lost to me. I am much --- weak to enter. I still sense it, Zamorak's bane.
It must be mine. The Icyene --- me. must rest --- recover."

Page 2
"I do not know how long I have slept, but I feel my powers rebuilt and my wounds healed.

The darkness consumes me and gives me life once more. I must open --- recover --- bring back my brothers and sisters.

I will retake these lands."

Me: Thanks for your help in finding the Myreque.

Cyreg: Well, I'd like to say that you're welcome. But I heard that you led Vanstrom straight to their base and he killed Sani and Harold. I feel so guilty.

Me: Hmm, yeah, I know how you feel.

Me: ...I slew a Vyrewatch, as Safalaan had asked, and took the corpse to the Paterdomus Columbarium to cremate it. In gratitude the spirit left a key which allowed me to gain access to their worldly wealth. My first prize was a blood rune talisman!

Juna: With your mind so focused on material wealth, I worry whether the intrigues overshadowing your discoveries are being properly looked into. Drakan, I fear, is a whole world of trouble for which you are ill-prepared.

Ivan: Hey, thanks for helping get back down to Burgh de Rott. I'm pleased to be back with my brothers the Myreque

Me: You're gonna get me into a lot of trouble one of these days! If not already!

Vyre: Weren’t you told during initiation?

P: I must have slept through that bit.

Vyre: There are many theories. Some believe the blisterwood tree was planted by the old Queen, to drive us out. A lot of good it did her.

Me: Sir, have you recovered from your earlier ordeal?

Saf: Ah [player name], you mean with the Vyrewatch in the cavern? Remind me of it again would you? But quietly, we don't want everyone to hear.

Me: Well, sir, you started floating in the air and an effervescent blue glow appeared around you. It slowly increased in intensity and finally a surge of power coursed through your unconscious body and the attacking Vyrewatch were instantly weakened and fled. It was quite a display and probably saved both of our lives.

Saf: Oh dear, that certainly sounds quite odd, and I'm still not quite entirely sure what happened myself.

A Miner in the Daeyalt Mines (courtesy of Neo Data)

--- ^+^ ---

Player - Hello there

miner - Oh hello, you must be new here. (goes to convo. options)

Player option 1 - Where are we?

miner - What, you can't tell from your surroundings that you're in a mine? You must have been hit hard on your head to not notice that.(goes back to convo. options)

Player option 2 - What do you do here?

miner - We're miners, perhaps that might give you a clue! We're forced to mine for those stinking vyres. Once we've filled the cart, they sometimes let us go back to Meiyerditch, but then we get tithed. Don't know if(con*.)

miner - I prefer it in here or out there!(goes back to options)

Player option 3 - How do we get out of here?

miner - They can't keep you in here forever they because have to tithe you, so once you've filled the cart, they let you go. Takes about fifteen loads to get the cart filled.(goes back to options)

Player option 4 - What is it that you're mining?

miner - We're mining for deayalt. Don't rightly know what it does - we don't ask too many questions - but I've been doing since I was a kid. The carts keep getting filled, and they keep going along the tracks. Goes to some(con*.)

miner - Huge refinery place it does - massive, like another another city under the earth.

Player - What? Have you seen this place?

miner - Not myself, like, but other people I know of have seen it and they wouldn't lie!

Juvinate guard - You two shut up and get back to work!(conversation ends)

The final convorsation option is - Okay thanks. which is a conversation ender
