Doesn't Summer's End start automatically after the completion of Spirit of Summer?

And no, I had Spirit of Summer completed for a while before going back to start Summer's End.

Nowadays, I mean, not back when they were first released. The screen shaking happens right after completion of Spirit of Summer if I remember correctly, at least.
You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?

I can attest to this; I had the requirements for both Spirit of Summer and Summer's End and as soon as I completed SoS, the screen-shaking thing happened as I was leaving the farm.

Oh, if they changed it then I have no idea. Though, according to the Wiki, the screen will shake immediately after Spirit of Summer is completed only if you have the requirements to start Summer's End. However, I don't think you start the quest until you actually speak to Summer again. Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.

The Summer quests were what, two, three months apart in terms of release? (cba looking it up). From the dialogue, I think it's safe to assume the same kind of time period passed in the lore. I'm just a man; I'm not a hero.
Just a boy who had to sing this song.

I feel like Song From the Depths should happen some time after Dragon Slayer, being that a big part of Dragon Slayer was being introduced to dragons for the first time. It's kind of anti-climatic meeting the "mother of dragons" (had to say that!) before Elvarg, and making a big fuss about Elvarg. I'm too Unaligned to have a forum signature.

@ Colossus

Hmm, the reason I'm not really with the idea of quest release dates equaling the order is because Jagex makes a lot of beginner quests at times so people get into the game easier. Sometimes, those beginner quests are really meant to be an introduction. Like The Blood Pact, for example. I know it has dialogue if you've done a lot of quests like "what do you mean how do I know you? Everyone knows you!" but, the point of the quest was for Xenia to test you.

Why would she be testing you against a couple Zamorakian cultist* that are just dipping into knowledge they shouldn't be, if you're already a member of the legends guild?

And in some cases I'm not sure it'd be able to work anymore. Like with Diamond in the Rough and Stolen Hearts being a requirement for Icthlarin's little helper now.

Also the Abyss miniquest is required for Temple at Senntisten, as Devious Minds requires it and is a requirement for Temple at Senntisten. I agree that the Hopespear thing should chronologically go before The Chosen Commander for full knowledge, but not necessarily in the sense of a "should-be", but maybe Player Knowledge - still, it's a miniquest that can be done after Land of the Goblins and isn't too difficult anyway, so that's still a good reason to do it then.

@ Taoshi

(noob forum censor cutting name off)Thanks :D

It's a nice fun project on the side.

@ Wahisietel

Yeah I know the screen shaking part does but I don't think she automatically commences dialogue. However, if you talk to her it'll act as if the shaking had just taken place.

If the ghosts would have stayed consistent in this idea that the shaking happens exactly after Spirit of Summer Ends instead of acting as if there was a timeskip then I'd say it would be an immediate start, but, since they do I'll just accept it as a game mechanic that doesn't want to prevent people from not being able to do quests after just doing another. I guess they stepped away from what they did with Fairy Tale and Regicide.

Yeah...The more I think about it, the more I agree. Despite having already done that in the wrong order in the marathon I think it should be this way, Song of the Depths after Dragon Slayer. Not directly or anything, just after.

Also, any quest that has dragons in them as well, like Temple at Senntisten, to even small quests like Watchtower, to be after Dragon Slayer as well for the same reason - Elvarg should be the first Dragon you have to face, due to the whole climatic thing about it in the quest.
