No surprise there :P

But still good to have something 100% req'd to say which way anyway.

Personally I'd put it before Regicide (maybe even Biohazard) as you're on 'good terms' with Lathas during Making History, and that'd feel weird if you were conspiring against him due to finding out the truth already.

That said, for the timeline I made, it takes place after Regicide due to other reasons, lol.

@ Pura Corona

Good to hear you like it!

As for the quests that aren't on the timeline already, basically it's in the order of quest release since the end of the timeline on this thread.

(Then again I'm probably going to update it after this post anyway)

EDIT: Yep, updated it.

Logged in just to say I love this. I can imagine how much work it was to go through all the details, and I appreciate it.

Great job! I think it would be great if somewhere official on runescapes website (even in game somehow), you could see a chronological listing of quests as a suggestion for what order to do them in, those most into lore.

I also would like to see what "mistakes" or exceptions you are currently making for your semi linear quest list already - just to get more of an idea of what is going through your head. I love lore, and think it's interesting.

It would also be nice if Jagex cleaned up some of the inconsistencies to make everything fit better.

The glaring one, that I absolutely hate and you might want to touch on, is the new tutorial (which itself, I really enjoy). It leaves us off of ashdale, onto the mainland for the first time....at the beginning of the 6th age (even..though.. we already completed all the 5th age quests?)

I'd like your thoughts on that too!

Thanks

Someone raised this point on another thread but bringing home the bacon has to come before lost tribe... Cause well people didn't eat pigs until the quest and well the quest mentions ham a few times. (I didn't see bringing home the bacon but I may have missed it in the list)

I had some help from friends and clanmates too, it wasn't just me. :P

Anyway, the mistakes that were on there have since been fixed. The biggest exception I purposely made for designing the quest order would have to be the fact I do Gertrude's Cat so late in the timeline, and that directly after doing Gertrude's Cat, I go straight to the desert, run into some desert quests, leading up into Icthlarin's Little Helper, etc, before heading back out.

The reason was because the character I was redoing all quests on, I developed a big backstory for, and in that backstory her mother is still alive and pretty much a cat-freak living in their house portal in Pollniveach. So, upon getting a cat from Gertrude it reminded her of home, her mother and that she wanted to check up on her, running into a different direction than people who don't have that same backstory would go.

I think that's about it though, and, well Ashdale of course.

@ Lighting292

However, while that Gertrude's Cat - Desert trek may be an odd exception for most people, another player has since made a good timeline as well and posted it on this thread, using the same mechanics I did when making my timeline.

Check it out here . Made by Aerav.

Choose whichever you feel, if you end up using a timeline for your questing adventures. It makes it a lot more fun questing that's for sure. :P

Yeah, that, and Ashdale (now that it's been made to work with a 5th age point of view. Thanks Stu!) could be worked into a new timeline in the future. Also, there are other quests beside just Lost Tribe that include pig meat references. I think Let Them Eat Pie has one, the buildings in the Khazard area have pig heads on their dishes to eat, the Broav makes a pig meat joke, the list goes on.

It would have to be really early in other words lol. Not that I'm against that, if it weren't for a Jmod quote saying it was 6th age I'd have moved it there myself, but now we have in-game information and in this case, in-game trumps jmod quote. :P

But there's no reason as to why it's 6th Age. The Quest does not mention the Gods at all.

Remember that according to the ingame evidence (or lack thereof), all Quests that aren't marked as 5th Age are technically 6th Age. Even the ones that would make absolutely no sense in the 6th Age (*cough* Myreque *cough*). Your list doesn't take that into account, because that would be a nightmare.

Until the Quest has either a rework or a sequel that mentions the Gods, it should be a 5th Age Quest, which happens early on in the canonical timeline.
