Elves? (Mostly the people of West Ardougne and the souls in the Underground Pass)

Has anyone told the people of Ardougne (both east and west) the plague was just a cruel hoax between their former psychotic king and much more dangerously psychotic elves?

Understandable that most focus mainly on getting to Prifddinas through those quests. Though, the 5th age portion of that quest line still has some rather hellish parts left unresolved. I'm sure Elena and her family would happily spread the word. If they have, I haven't heard of it.

Think what the place really needs is a full graphical rework like Falador had. Help the people of the west rebuild their homes from scratch and reunite with their families.

As is, West Ardougne's got to be the nastiest saddest community on Gielinor next to Meiyerditch.

I've recently been wondering about Lord Drakan. Under Zaros's rule, I believe he and his sister preferred the classic Vampire Predator vs: Human Prey set up, maybe it was the best of both worlds--they got their tasty blood or whatever and they also had to sweet civilization under Zaros's Empire. What I don't understand is why Drakan would wan to betray Zaros if at least in Vanescula's case she preferred the old way vs the blood farming getto, and the revert back into beasts thing Drakan went on about.

So what I want to know is: What motivated Lord Drakan to betray Zaros and join Zamoraks's rebellion against him, ad was Vanescula totally cool with this decision? Did he believe Zaros and his new fangled civilization led the vampires astray? Really, who would want to live like a animal in the first place?

And is the Drakan/Zaros betrayal another reason Vaescula conspired against her brother after all these years?

Its pretty small, and in the course of thousands of years that this question encompasses it wouldn't be unreasonable to say that the specific info got lost in history. But if this was some sort of or mistake, please flesh it out for me--I really want to know more about the vampires.

Off-topic, but I really want to learn more about the other Vampyric clans besides the Drakans.

Hi there!

About Glouphrie, I've recently written up a quest idea for a prequel to the gnome finale, that implicates the dark gnomes with an Elder artefact and the plain of the anima mundi. It involves the druids, the dead gods, the Elder God Ful, as well as her previously unknown, mysterious sibling. The vault puzzle is a nod to Plato's Republic.

Also Osman and his Squirk Juice Obsession. Does he still drink squirk juice? Could I go and try and turn in squirk juice to him while he's pharaoh? And isn't it weird that a dude addicted to juice is Pharaoh now?--That's like if I was some weird guy in the corner eating marshmallows from strangers and suddenly I'm elected president.

Why wouldn't you be able to? Mechanically, it needs to stay or be transferred to a different NPC otherwise players wouldn't have anyone to turn-in their squirk-juice to. In lore, since it doesn't seem to be causing Osman any particular problems, either his obsession isn't widely known among the general populace, or such an obsession is seen as more of a "quirk" rather than the kind of thing that would invalidate any claim he has to being Pharaoh. Al-Kharid has been ruled my all sorts, and Osman's obsession is hardly a big deal in comparison.

It would only be weird if he only became Pharaoh *because* of his squirk-juice obsession.

In actuality, he became Pharaoh for entirely different reasons, and his obsession is at most a "character flaw" that isn't significant enough to prevent him getting that position. Even if the populace of Al-Kharid are unhappy with it, there's little anyone could actually do about it unless someone with a more substantial claim to the throne came along.

Yes - we did when we seized the Mourner HQ if you remember. The most notable people in the west district were in on the rebellion, and knew the reasons why the rebellion was taking place. They would have spread the word to the masses once the new king was on the throne.

Similarly, the new king knew about the goings-on involving the plague and his predecessor, as did Elena and her family. If Elena and her family didn't spread the word among East Ardougne, the king surely would have done as a part of the process of putting those events to rest in the past and gaining the trust of his subjects.

However, all of this takes place in Plague's End itself, which is a 6th Age quest. This means most of Ardougne do cannonically reach the end of the 5th Age mostly in the dark about the truth of the situation: with the mourners still around, it wouldn't have made sense to spread panic or cause the population to attempt to rise-up against them suicidally, and only really had the capacity to launch a strike that could succeed when you're there to spearhead it.

That's essentially true although I think they could transition most of the future desert quests to sixth age after the Menaphos quests.

So really the Gnomes are the only major Fifth Age quest line left from my point of view. Dwarves, Vampires, Tz-Haar, Pirates, Elves, Gods, etc all have their Fifth age plots wrapped up enough that future releases for such topics should all just be sixth age quests.

^Not true. I still want a 5th Age quest about the state of the leadership of Asgarnia, where we learn the fate of King Vallence. This could be a continuation of the White/Temple Knight series. It has to be 5th Age because the return of Saradomin renders this storyline irrelevant.
