Honestly, every quest has a certain vibe to it that I love, My absolute favorite though is "The World Wakes" and I don't even like PvM! The quest actually got me into lore, and the fighting during the quest taught me more about EoC when it came out shortly after. So its both a foothold and great memory to me, as well as being an iconic quest in my book. Hopefully, I'll enjoy Sliskes Endgame, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Dishonour among Thieves is my all-time favourite. Zamorak got the chance to redeem himself, Sliske is simply an awesome character to feature in quests. The lore in the quest was amazing, predominantly Pal*eera's body and journal, and also the other characters that featured (mainly Bilrach and Nomad) were awesome too.

I disagree Zamorak was portrayed positively, nor that Sliske was used correctly, nor that the lore was particularly outstanding, nor that Bilrach's inclusion was a good idea, nor that Nomad wasn't horribly out-of-character, but +1 for DaT nonetheless. :P
Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

Perhaps you're half right; perhaps we can't win. But we can fight.

I'd have to say Spirit of Summer.

I've always liked the idea of helping ghosts, and the setting of the Wilderness is satisfyingly dangerous, mysterious, and historical.

In addition, I found the alternate dimension puzzles to be fun and just the right difficulty. Not to mention, it was quite satisfying when you figure out how to solve them.

Finally, the boss fight was unique, though it might be unnecessarily hard for some people due to lag. And failure means making a whole new summoning pouch. But at least it's not just another "click and wait."

It's a lot similar to Meeting History in that you meet a family from a different time period and have to figure out how actions in one dimension affects another dimension. But I found the puzzles in MH a little too predictable and was more able to empathize with Summer. :)
The legendary creators have been long gone from this world. When they return, they'll be surprised and angered of their creations' new sapience. Meanwhile, the world's most elite, summoned to be its guardians, have abandoned their purpose and intend to plunge the world into chaos. -- Bionicle or RS?

Maybe I'm weird but I have very fond memories of The Tourist Trap. I absolutely love a good number of the RS Classic quests, mostly because I remember when they were released and for some reason the updates just seemed so much more significant.

How about Tree Gnome Village? Getting access to the whole Gnome city who's king wore a Party Hat? I thought, PERFECT!! High value item that looked like a Crown. Also the release of the Agility skill. It was a beautiful time.

I also had a lot of love for the Plague City quests in Classic. Scamming my way into the city after I had been training Thieving (this cool new skill) in the East. Now I was no longer just an adventurer, I was a talented Thief and an Agile ninja like character. I was sneaking into closed off areas, solving mysteries. Also figuring out who to give specific potions too so that they could transport the items for me. Great fun stuff.

Regardless of whether the starting lines were in Classic or not, some terrible lines weren't there or exactly clear, like Elemental Workshop, the most useless quest line with useless rewards and overall not much fun. Slugs, that line really fell off fast didn't it? The Penguins, don't get me started on the Penguins.

Wow. Looking at this thread made me realise just how many Lorehounds have "Dr Nabanik's old trilby" on their forum profiles... it's like the unofficial Lorehound hat. :P

-----

I've been thinking about updating my favourite quest on here, seeing as some pretty good ones have been released since then.

I'd like to change my favourite quest from 'Desert Treasure' to 'Dimension of Disaster'.

What can I really say about DoD? It was funny, sure, but what really puts this on number one is just how full and complete the entire quest felt.

Everyone in New Varrock has some altered model and/or dialogue, with even the newspaper being changed. There's tons of decorations and environment additions that actually have (funny/unique/descriptive) examines. A humorous, and for the most part, enriching task set. Loads of references and changes made in this world without the player, only revealing things which make sense to be revealed given the area (like reading Zemouregal's notes), with some of these changes raising questions and making you really think. Ironically all of this makes the zombie-packed city feel alive.

Perhaps, (for me at least) one of the more satisfying things was finally letting Arrav get his revenge on Zemouregal. It just felt so good watching as Zemouregal's former slave beat the... poop?... nah, Mahjarrat don't do that... well Zemmy got (his life) something beat out of him by Arrav in a battle that could only be described as a 'bullet hell' and it was glorious.

I suppose one down-side is that we did the same sort of thing before in other quests, but even that works in favour for this quest. It shows just how, despite having 'eyes' everywhere, Zemouregal is still a bit poor with his security, still using that coloured mist and those silly decoder strips. It's all flashy and impressive-sounding, but in practice it's mediocre. Just like Zemouregal. :P
