I think it's really fantastic that he had a husband and that they adopted children and after his husband died he later remarried another male Aviansie.

I think it's so inclusive and progressive of Jagex to do this and feel very happy about it all! It really added to his character and personality in my opinion.

Sorry f this has been talked about a lot before now but I just wanted to share :)

I do hope people don't have a problem with it, it's not like we knew anything about his personal life before so it's not like his personality has been reconnected or anything.

Good for Armadyl :)

The second spouse hasn't been confirmed male yet, but the fact Armadyl had a husband and had no qualms at all of talking about it speaks volumes of how culturally advanced the Armadylean faction is, especially in a medieval setting. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

Oh I know he didn't specify gender on the second spouse, but unless Jagex come out and say his second spouse was female there is no reason to assume it was not male.

I agree they seem very culturally advanced and likely don't label anything as we are compelled to do, more likely they find love and companionship regardless of gender.

As I put it in another thread.
"Armadyl is a god that cares and loves his people and wants to protect them, regardless of who they are, male or female, Armadyl cares about you."

Yes he cares about all his people and followers of course he does I don't think anyone ever thought differently.

That is not really the same thing as who he chooses to mate with/build a personal life with and actually marry though is it.

To be fair, being accepting of male - male relationships isn't proof of cultural advancement. The ancient greeks were very accepting of male - male relationships, in fact in some cities you were expected to engage in both kinds of relationships. However, often these relationships involved very young males with much older men.

I doubt this was the case at all with Armadyl or his aviancy, and I constantly am impressed by Jagex's, and especially Raven's inclusion of LGBT characters, (I think there is 4 npcs now) but let's just be careful with what we say.

Totally agree with everything you say here :) It's fantastic! Who are the other three NPC's? I always thought Jessika and Korasi had the potential to be more than friends- there was also two male warriors in a deamonheim dungeon that were a couple (though they were dead :(

Actually now that I'm thinking about it, there are 5.

Zanik is bi-sexual.
Two forgotten warriors in the the Vengence Saga are gay.
Angof, the crystal shape-shifter is a trans women/elf.
Armadyl.

That's five. Though I agree that I totally ship Jessika and Korasi.
