To be fair, I don't think anyone is implying that they think straight or gay characters are better or less than the other, some just hold the idea that increased diversity provides a richer blend of characters.
No one thinks being gay or straight is akin to being in a special club if that's what you're getting at.

I don't really get what you mean by "this thread comes across as crossfitter vegan" However based on your previous posts it seems you have issues that this thread is "making a song and dance about Armadyls sexuality? Or as you previously said "tooting it's horn all the time"
Well it's not a big deal that he isn't straight and the thread isn't ever saying "OMG CAN YOU BELIEVE ARMADYL"
It's simply acknowledging the development of his character, applauding Jagex for doing it in a seamless fashion where it wasn't big news or a huge announcement it was just apart of his back story that he has no qualms about sharing.
Totally normalised it as it should be. That is worth commenting on
